Today, we’re excited to introduce an updated PeriGen brand.

Over the past several years, PeriGen has grown in meaningful ways. Our technology has advanced. Our partnerships with clinicians, providers, and health systems have deepened. And as our community of users has expanded, so too has the impact we’re making in labor and delivery across the country and around the world.

This refresh is not about reinventing PeriGen. What's evolving is how we share our story.

Starting today, you’ll begin to see this reflected in our refreshed visual identity and a redesigned website that more thoughtfully highlights our technology, our people, and the real‑world impact our platform is making in hospitals around the globe.

PeriGen has always been guided by a simple mission — helping clinicians protect moms and babies during one of life’s most important moments. That mission continues to inspire everything we do, now amplified with renewed energy and clarity as we move forward together.

"The Care Quality Commission identified that inadequate foetal monitoring occurred in 45 of 92 cases (49%) in which a baby died or suffered serious brain damage while being born in a midwife-led unit in England.

The findings show that correct monitoring is “critically important” to ensure care is safe in all maternity units, said Sandy Lewis, the director of the CQC’s maternity and newborn safety investigations (MNSI) programme.

It analysed four common failings in the 92 births in a report that is intended to help midwives and doctors improve the quality and safety of care."

Short staffing and heavy workloads also key factors in cases where outcomes included brain damage, Care Quality Commission says

Malawi provides free healthcare to its 21 million citizens, but with only $14 allocated per patient annually, the challenges are immense. Women and children face significant health disparities, with high maternal mortality and neonatal death rates.

The Area 25 Health Centre in Malawi’s capital, Lilongwe, serves around 700,000 people and exemplifies these challenges. The maternal health clinic struggled with high rates of stillbirths and neonatal deaths. Traditional methods of electronic fetal monitoring relied heavily on clinicians to interpret raw data and identify subtle warning signs, often under stressful conditions and with limited resources.

To address these issues, Area 25 partnered with Malawi’s Ministry of Health, Texas Children’s Hospital, and Baylor College of Medicine. They introduced PeriGen ’s AI-based solution that acts as an automated early warning system. This technology monitors critical vital signs, detecting abnormalities and alerting clinicians in real-time to act.

The impact has been transformative. Area 25 has seen an 82% reduction in intrapartum stillbirth and early neonatal death rates. Linda, a healthy 3-month-old baby born at the health centre, is a testament to this success. The advancements at Area 25 demonstrate how innovative healthcare solutions can dramatically improve maternal and neonatal outcomes across Sub-Saharan Africa.
