That uncomfortable question at the beginning of this reel?
Yeah… most people answered yes.

Most people admitted they have judged someone differently after finding out they used a GLP-1 medication or peptide.

And honestly? That should make all of us pause for a second.

Because we never really know what someone is struggling with behind closed doors.

Some people are battling insulin resistance.
Hormonal dysfunction.
Metabolic issues.
Inflammation.
Years of trying everything while feeling trapped in a body that would not respond.

Yet the second someone finally gets help and starts feeling better, healthier, more confident… society suddenly wants to question how they got there.

The wildest part?
A lot of that judgment is coming from other women.

We have to be better than that.

There is nothing empowering about shaming another woman for getting support with her health while she is still working on the basics and trying to change her life.

GLP-1s are not magic.
People still have to build habits.
They still have to learn nutrition.
They still have to heal their relationship with food, movement, stress, and sleep.

Sometimes these medications are not “the easy way out.”
Sometimes they are the first thing that finally gives someone’s body a fighting chance.

Maybe instead of judging women for needing help, we should ask why so many women have felt forced to struggle in silence for so long.

Be honest… have you ever done this?

According to a recent study out of George Washington University, most people have.

And the most heartbreaking part?
It wasn’t men judging women for using GLP-1 medications and peptides.
It was women judging other women.

Women rolling their eyes.
Making comments about the “easy way out.”
Treating women differently after weight loss.
Giving off the “friends off” vibe instead of support.

We have to do better.

Because for so many people, this is not about laziness or lack of willpower. It is not a character flaw. It is not someone “cheating.”

Sometimes it is insulin resistance.
Hormones.
Inflammation.
Metabolic dysfunction.
Years of doing everything “right” and still feeling like your body is fighting you every step of the way.

And yes, the foundations still matter.
Protein matters.
Movement matters.
Sleep matters.
Stress management matters.

But some people genuinely benefit from metabolic support while they work on those foundations. Sometimes that little bit of help is the thing that finally allows their body to respond.

So before judging another woman for choosing help, ask yourself what message we are sending to our daughters.

That women should suffer silently?
That asking for help makes you weak?
That we only support women when their struggles look acceptable to us?

We should be teaching the next generation compassion, education, and understanding — not shame.

The stigma around GLP-1s and peptides has to end.

Peptides are short chains of amino acids that act like tiny messengers in the body. 🧬
Think of them like text messages telling your cells what to do — support recovery, metabolism, muscle, skin, sleep, inflammation, and more.

Your body already makes peptides naturally… science just learned how to use them more intentionally.

Most people hear the word “peptide” and think it sounds complicated… but it’s actually pretty simple.

Peptides are short chains of amino acids that act like messengers in the body. Think of them like tiny text messages 📲 your body already recognizes and knows how to respond to.

They don’t “force” your body to do something unnatural. Instead, they send signals that may support things like recovery, metabolism, muscle preservation, sleep, inflammation, skin health, and more.

Your body is already communicating constantly. Peptides are just one way to help guide the conversation.

The key is understanding:
✨ what goal you’re trying to support
✨ what signals your body may need
✨ and why there’s no one-size-fits-all approach

Education first. Always.

I have to admit something…

As a chiropractor’s wife, and a crunchy mom I’ve always believed in the foundations first.

Food. Sleep. Movement. Sunlight. Minerals. Nervous system support. Stress reduction. All the holistic things that actually help the body function better.

So when I first started hearing more about peptides, part of me thought, “Is this really aligned with the way I think about health?”

But the more I learned, the more I realized peptides aren’t working against the body.

They’re actually designed to support what the body already knows how to do.

They help signal the body at a cellular level — supporting things like recovery, inflammation regulation, tissue repair, hormone balance, and overall function.

I don’t believe peptides replace the basics.

I believe they work best when the basics are already in place.

And as someone who has lived in the chiropractic world, seen the power of supporting the body naturally, and also believes women deserve to feel strong, energized, and like themselves again… I think this conversation matters.

If you’re curious about peptides and want to know where I’d start, comment STACK and I’ll send you what I’m taking right now.
