“How do I know if dyslexia intervention is actually working?”
That is one of the most common questions parents ask after their child begins reading intervention.
Many parents expect progress to look dramatic and immediate. But real dyslexia progress is often much more gradual than people expect.
Sometimes the earliest signs of growth are:
• less guessing
• stronger decoding
• more confidence
• less frustration
• greater willingness to try difficult reading
Some students progress quickly. Others need much more repetition and support before reading skills become automatic. Both can still reflect meaningful progress.
