Today, we’re proud to unveil a new and refreshed look for the Charleston Regional Development Alliance.

Our refreshed brand and visual identity represent far more than a new logo. They reflect the momentum of a region emerging as a hub for innovation, talent, advanced industries, and global opportunity.

As Charleston competes on a larger stage, we believe our story should reflect the caliber, ambition, and forward-thinking energy shaping the region today.

From aerospace and life sciences to technology, logistics, workforce development, and entrepreneurship, innovation is happening across every corner of our economy. This new brand helps us tell that story more clearly, cohesively, and boldly.

This is a new look for a new era of innovation. Welcome to the next chapter of the Charleston innovation story. 💡

The Charleston Workforce Housing Fund, managed by Ascent Housing , has acquired Waverly Place Apartments in North Charleston — a 276-unit community that will provide long-term affordable housing opportunities for local residents.

This marks the fund’s second acquisition, bringing the initiative to nearly 500 preserved workforce housing units across the region.

At Waverly Place, 90% of units will be reserved for households earning 80% or less of the area median income, helping more families remain in the communities where they live and work. Residents will also have access to financial wellness resources through Trident United Way
Thrive@Home program.

Through collaboration between business, nonprofit, and community partners, the Charleston region is advancing innovative solutions that support long-term economic competitiveness and quality of life.
