Meet Sean aka Shake King & Head of Research and Development 👋
Sean was born and raised right here in the Upstate and has deep roots to the Greenville community. He is happily married to his best friend, and somehow manages to be the Shake King by day and a Burn Boot Camp coach by night.
Athletics have always been a constant in Sean’s life. As a kid, he was always moving, playing on multiple sports teams and spending years skateboarding through middle and high school. In high school, he competed in varsity football and track and went on to play football at North Greenville University. Movement, discipline, and teamwork have always been part of who he is.
Fitness remains a huge part of Sean’s life today, but it means even more now than it did back then. After college, Sean transitioned into a desk job in construction sales and spent five to six years sitting and moving far less than he was used to. During that time, he gained weight, became unhealthy, and noticed a serious decline in his mental health. That season became a turning point. Sean made the decision to quit, get moving again, and fall back in love with fitness not just for his body, but for his mind.
When Sean reignited his fitness journey, Project Lean Nation played a major role. He met Jeremy, signed up for 18 meals a week, and consistently fueled his body with high-protein meals while training hard. Eating two to three PLN meals a day helped him lose around 20 pounds and drop below 10 percent body fat. The results spoke for themselves.
Sean worked at Project Lean Nation for two years before becoming an owner, and when the opportunity came, the decision was easy. He had already fallen in love with the mission, the community, and the impact PLN makes.
What excites Sean most is helping people get healthier and witnessing the moment they hit their milestones. When you walk into PLN, he hopes you feel welcomed, supported, and free from judgment. Health journeys can feel intimidating and overwhelming, but Sean wants everyone to know that everyone starts somewhere and simply walking through the door is a huge first step.
