Bring your pup to McLawland Farms on Wednesday, September 23, 5:30–6:15pm for a Canine Acupressure Class and make an evening of it, because the farmers market runs 3–6:30pm too. Come early, browse the market, then settle in with your dog for something totally different.

You'll learn real acupressure points you can use on your dog at home. Think of it as giving your pup a spa day, anytime they need it. We'll cover the basics of chi and Traditional Chinese Medicine, then get hands-on: you'll be finding real points on your own dog, with me right there the whole time.

We've officially shifted into Late Summer, the season of the Earth element in Five Element Theory.

Earth governs the stomach, spleen, digestion, and how your animal processes not just food, but life itself. It's the element of nourishment, groundedness, and worry. An Earth imbalance can show up as digestive upset, clinginess or excessive worry, or a horse, dog, or cat who just seems a little "stuck."

Every season carries its own element, its own organs, and its own emotional signature and once you learn to recognize them, you start seeing your animal in a completely different light.

This only happens once every 60 years and honestly? It explains a lot. Big energy. Bold moves. Passion running a little TOO hot sometimes. If your dog, cat, or horse has been extra spicy lately... the universe may be telling on itself.

In Chinese astrology the Fire Horse is known for intensity, transformation, and a whole lot of momentum. It's a big deal year, and it got me thinking about how much the elements, Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water, actually show up in our animals' bodies, emotions, and behavior throughout the year, not just in a big zodiac cycle but every single season.

Have you ever wondered what actually happens at an equine acupressure clinic?

It's part classroom, part hands-on, and completely unlike anything most horse owners have ever experienced.

We start by covering the foundations: meridians, energy flow, and how Traditional Chinese Medicine views the whole horse body, mind, and emotions all connected. Then we take it to the horses, where you'll actually locate and work acupressure points yourself on a real horse with guidance every step of the way.

The moment most people remember? Watching their horse release. Licking and chewing, yawning, eyes softening, once you know what you're looking for you'll never stop noticing it. And you'll know YOU did that.

Everything you learn goes home with you. These are real skills you can use on your own horse the very next day.

If you've been curious about acupressure or have always wanted to learn a hands on bodywork technique for your own horse, a clinic is the perfect place to start. It's designed with owners in mind, no experience necessary, but has also sparked the professional journey for more than a few attendees along the way
