Pregnant and tired of scare tactics? Here are 3 truths about early labor from 30 years in the room.
I've been doing this work for over three decades, and I can tell you what most birth education won't.
Early labor doesn't have to be scary. It doesn't have to be something you dread.
Here's what I want you to know:
1. Early labor contractions are often manageable at home. You don't need to rush to the hospital the second they start. Rest, hydrate, and let your body ease into the work.
2. There is no such thing as a wasted contraction. Every single one is doing something, even if it doesn't feel like progress in that moment.
3. You can do anything for one minute. That's all a contraction is. One minute. And then it passes.
I don't believe in fear-based education. I believe you deserve honest information and the confidence to trust your body.
