There are some stories you don’t just publish… you feel them.

Still, She Chose Love by Dr. LeAnn Cerise Harris is one of those stories.

This memoir walks through heartbreak, loss, motherhood, grief, healing, faith, and the long road back to trusting love again. And what makes this story so beautiful is that it does not end with what broke her.

It ends with restoration. Peace. Purpose. And love.

This video gives you just a glimpse of the journey behind the pages—told through music, emotion, and visual storytelling inspired by LeAnn’s testimony and her love story with her husband, Darryl.

And yes… we took the story beyond the book.

The official Still, She Chose Love soundtrack will also be available on all streaming platforms very soon, giving readers another way to experience the heart of this story before, during, and after the book.

As her publisher, I am so excited for you all to experience this one.

What’s Love? — The Soundtrack brings the powerful conversations from Dr. Velma Bagby’s What’s Love? beyond the pages and into music.

Inspired by the book’s five conversations with women sharing real lessons about faith, commitment, relationships and lasting love, each song explores a different foundation of God centered love: character before chemistry, purpose before partnership, truth, prayer, and the daily decision to love.

The EP concludes with Dr. Velma’s own testimony, “God Knew Better,” reflecting on her love story with her husband Bruce and the wisdom gained through more than 50 years of marriage, faith, trials, restoration and choosing God’s plan over her own.

This is more than a soundtrack. It is the message of What’s Love? expressed through gospel, soul and testimony.

Real women. Real conversations. Real love. One God at the center of it all.

“I Understand Now” is one of the most personal songs from Through the Rain: Volume Two — Finding Peace in the Storm: The Musical Anthology. This song explores the complicated space between loving a mother, being hurt by her choices, living through repeated abandonment, and eventually reaching a place of understanding after loss.

This is not a story that rewrites the past into something prettier than it was. It acknowledges addiction, instability, unanswered questions, grief, and the reality of losing a mother to suicide—while also recognizing that understanding someone’s pain does not erase the pain they caused.

“I Understand Now” represents the moment when healing stops requiring an explanation or apology. Sometimes peace comes when you finally accept that another person was fighting battles you could not fight for them.

Performed by Listen Linda, this song is part of a musical anthology created to introduce listeners to the powerful stories behind the upcoming book Through the Rain: Volume Two — Finding Peace in the Storm.

 Streaming on all platforms.
 CD & Vinyl available now.

Sometimes understanding doesn’t change what happened. It changes what you carry forward.

“What Remained” is inspired by Dr. LeAnn Cerise Harris’ chapter, “The Fire Couldn’t Have My Faith,” from Through the Rain: Volume Two — Finding Peace in the Storm.

Before the fire ever touched her home, LeAnn was already carrying the grief of losing her daughter. Then one Sunday, after a powerful church service and a warning that something serious was coming but would not take her out, she returned home and everything changed.

Her house caught fire.

She was displaced.

She lost possessions and precious pieces connected to her daughter.

But weeks later, standing in the damaged home, she discovered something unexpected — a box of wax that somehow had not melted.

That moment became a reminder that everything had not been lost.

She was still here.

Her faith was still here.

Her purpose was still here.

And even while living in an extended-stay hotel and rebuilding her own life, she continued serving and feeding others.

“What Remained” is about discovering that peace does not always come with answers. Sometimes peace is simply realizing that God is still present in the middle of what you cannot explain.

“Receipts in the Rain” is Regina Rivers’ soundtrack inspired by her chapter “No Return on Interest” from Through the Rain: Volume Two — Finding Peace in the Storm.

Her story explores financial abuse, emotional manipulation, economic exploitation, and what happens when being “supportive” slowly turns into carrying the weight of someone else’s life while your own begins to fall apart.

Regina gave time, money, rides, labor, energy, and support while trying to keep up with work, school, writing, and everyday life. What looked like partnership eventually revealed itself as imbalance, control, and loss. But once the truth became clear, rebuilding began.

This song carries that shift from exhaustion and anger into awareness, boundaries, faith, and peace.

The rain represents the storm she survived.
The receipts represent the proof.
And the ending represents what mattered most: Regina investing back into herself.
