Happy National Voter Registration Day! 🗳️

Legacy starts with taking ownership of our local elections and ensuring our voices are heard at every level of the ballot — To kick off our 2026 Fall Join Week, MetroBoard is proud to partner with Chicago Votes for a special film screening of "First Hand Democracy"! 🎬⚖️

This is the very FIRST event in our Fall Join Week series, where we’re mobilizing Chicago’s Young Professionals to reconnect, recommit, and dive deep into local civic action.

Judicial decisions impact our communities every single day, yet many voters leave the judicial section of their ballot blank. Join us as we break down the judicial branch, navigate early voting, and give you the tools to research judges running in this upcoming mid-term election.

What an unforgettable evening! 💡✨

Last month, MetroBoard hosted an extraordinary August General Body Meeting featuring an intimate fireside chat with John W. Rogers, Jr., Founder, Chairman & Co-CEO of Ariel Investments and former Chairman of The Chicago Urban League.

Rather than a typical lecture, members had a direct line to four decades of pioneer-level wisdom on patient capital, long-term wealth building, and sustained Black ownership.

Huge thank you to Mr. Rogers for sharing his time, journey, and powerful perspective with our membership, Alstork’s Lil Bundles for the delicious dessert and to everyone who showed up ready to build!
