Last October I hosted a retreat I never actually got to attend.
I was the host.
My guests saw the golden trees, the charcuterie board with the tiny daisies, the alcohol-free bubbly under the maples. It really was beautiful. But here’s what they didn’t see: me, trying to be at the entrance and the gathering spot at the same time. Two meals in two different locations. No real introductions — I knew every single woman there, but they didn’t know each other yet.
I am a high-achieving, over-functioning host by nature, so of course I tried to be in two places at once. It worked, technically. It also felt rushed in my bones.
The guests got the retreat. I got the lesson.
So this year, I built the one I wish I’d given us all —
🍂 A whole weekend, not one day: October 15–18
🍂 One home base — a lakeside house just outside Nashville. Unpack once. Settle in.
🍂 Two pre-retreat calls, so you walk in already knowing names
🍂 A schedule with room in it: guided hikes, kayaking, campfires, a workshop, yoga nidra meditation, and honest-to-goodness free time
🍂 Guided conversation + daily sharing circles, held by two certified coaches
🍂 All meals + alcohol-free drinks included (one meal out on the town in Nashville is on you — optional, and worth it)
I kept everything that worked — the hike, the meditation, the charcuterie, the guided conversation — and gave it space to breathe.
10 women. 2 certified coaches holding it all — me (certified professional life + sober coach) and Deb Masner (RN + national board-certified health & wellness coach). Zero hangovers.
3 spots left — $1,500, payment plans available. Booking closes August 31.
