🚨 Many hernias begin with symptoms that seem minor at first, making them easy to overlook.

However, ongoing pain, pressure, discomfort, or a visible bulge may be signs of a hernia that shouldn't be ignored.

⚠️ Recognizing the warning signs early can help you get the right treatment and reduce the risk of complications down the road.

🏥 If your symptoms persist, worsen with activity, or aren't improving with rest, it's a good idea to get evaluated by a specialist.

What a fantastic evening at the West Suburban Gut Club, where GI leaders from across the Chicagoland area came together for an engaging discussion on the latest advances in Hepatorenal Syndrome (HRS). It was an honor for GI Partners of Illinois to host this outstanding educational event alongside an exceptional faculty and panel of experts.

The evening also provided an opportunity for our CEO, Dr. Geogy Vennikandam, to share the story of GI Partners of Illinois, our mission as the largest independent, physician-led GI group in Illinois, and many of the innovative initiatives currently underway across our organization. From AI-driven solutions and chronic care management programs to research, operational excellence, and expanded patient access, it was exciting to discuss both the progress we have made and the transformative initiatives in our pipeline.

A special thank you to Dr. Naveen Reddy for serving as the moderator of the evening and guiding a thoughtful discussion among an esteemed panel that included Dr. Omaima Degani, Dr. Sujit Janardhan, Dr. Steve Scaglione, and our very own Dr. Rockford Yapp. We are also grateful to Professor Justin Boike, MD, for delivering an outstanding presentation and sharing his expertise on the latest updates and advances in Hepatorenal Syndrome.

Events like these underscore the importance of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning in advancing gastroenterology and hepatology care. Grateful for the opportunity to connect with so many respected colleagues, thought leaders, and friends who share a common commitment to improving patient outcomes.

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make this such a memorable and successful evening.

We are so proud to share that our very own Dr. Chad Spangler was recently featured in the USA TODAY 🎉

After comedians Amy Schumer and Kathy Griffin sparked a national conversation about colonoscopy experiences, journalists turned to Dr. Spangler for trusted, expert guidance, and we couldn't be more honored. 🙌

Dr. Spangler reminded readers what we already know, he genuinely cares about his patients and is passionate about making sure no one fears a procedure that could save their life.

"The benefits of screening substantially outweigh the risks. Nobody should be dying of colon cancer in today's world."💬

We are beyond proud to have a physician of his caliber on our team, and even prouder that his voice is reaching people across the country who need to hear it.

Your body speaks a silent language. Are you listening? 👂

Most people don't realize that symptoms like "unusual fatigue" or "stomach discomfort" could be a direct distress signal from your liver. Hepatitis is often called a silent attacker because it works in the shadows, but with modern screening, it has nowhere to hide.

The best news?
Early detection makes hepatitis treatable and often curable.

Don’t let a "maybe" turn into a "wish I had." Knowledge is the first step toward a cure.
