Something came through in a session recently that I have not been able to stop thinking about.
A vision. A lotus floating in a stagnant pond, thick with sludge. The unprocessed weight that women have carried across generations. As the water cleared, one thing remained clouded: the distortions we carry around what it means to be a mother.
The vision showed every mother as that lotus plant. Every child she has ever held, every child her ancestors held, connected to her by the same root system. All of life. All responsibility. All consequences. Resting in that one plant.
No wonder so many of us are exhausted.
What I also saw was a new way forward. Not severing the roots, but carefully, gently untangling them, and placing each one into its own ground. Allowing our children to become their own independent root systems.
And in place of those bound roots? A mycelial network. The same system that runs beneath the forest floor, connecting every tree in a web of love and communication. Always connected. No longer bound.
This is the vision that is alive in the practice I hold with mothers. Over the next several weeks, and maybe months, I am going to walk through the patterns, the pain, and the path forward, because there is one.
If something in this lands for you, I am glad you are here, and I would love to hear what is resonating with you.
