Today a new client asked “how long did it take for your business to recover after the pandemic?”🤔

I had to stop and think, it’d been a while since I’d really remembered what that was like… I was flooded with memories - moving offices, unyielding landlords- living with immune compromised family and needing to close my business twice- to clients always asking if my schedule was busy enough and referring their friends and family members- to the lightness in my chest that showed up 2 yrs post pandemic when bookings stabilized and I had consistent income… it was a journey! It took 2 yrs!

I am so very grateful for the resilience of Open Potential Body and my clients - we weathered that! I’m incredibly grateful!

What a beautiful day to take a trip down memory lane- to remember how far I’ve come and continue to DREAM ON!!

It’s not what you might think…

Softening isn’t going limp. It isn’t giving up or giving in. Softening is permission — to be exactly as you are, to rest, to be present with what is. It unlocks something most of us have had locked tight for years: an inner kindness for our own body.

And here’s what’s wild — when the body softens physically, the emotional softening follows. It can’t help but not.

The jaw releases and suddenly there’s more room to breathe. The shoulders drop and something you’ve been carrying quietly starts to surface. This is the work.

There’s a difference between a body that’s failing you and a body that’s been asked to hold too much for too long.

If you’ve been wondering — is this just aging? Is this just who I am now? — I want you to hear this: that tightness, that numbness, that running list that won’t quiet... that’s not your body giving up.

That’s your body asking for something different. You’re not broken. You’re braced. And bracing can soften.

She came in carrying over a decade of imbalance.

Before her session she mentioned — almost casually — that she never quite felt the same after her surgeries. That she always felt off. That she could feel it in her hips every single day.

We’re only on Session 3 of her 10 Series.

We didn’t chase the pain. We worked with her whole structure — helping her body find its relationship with gravity again, releasing the compensations that had been building for years.

When she stood up after the session, something had shifted.
