๐ช๐๐๐ง ๐ ๐ช๐๐๐ ๐คฉ! Last week was one heck of a week โ ๐ฒ๐
๐ฐ๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด, because I got the opportunity to share my work and engage in immensely meaningful discussions with so many wonderful people. Between talks and posters, I honestly feel posters are more satisfying โ they allow time for deeper conversations with the right audience, and thereโs less chance for the work to be missed because of the extended interaction time ๐!๐
๐๐ป๐๐ต๐๐๐ถ๐ฎ๐๐๐ถ๐ฐ, because I had the opportunity to moderate a session, and that was truly one of the best experiences of the meeting. Interacting with each presenter and seeing the passion with which they explained their hard work was incredibly inspiring ๐ค!
And finally, ๐ฐ๐ต๐ฎ๐น๐น๐ฒ๐ป๐ด๐ถ๐ป๐ด โ because last week was also my job-hunting week. With the time crunch Iโm currently in, Iโm actively looking for opportunities where I can continue learning while contributing meaningfully to visual science research. I met several P*s who were potentially looking for candidates, and Iโm deeply grateful to everyone for the kind, encouraging, and reassuring words ๐๐ผ๐.
I also had the opportunity to meet my PhD PI, .Katrina Schmid , and I truly appreciate the valuable time she spent with me. Thank you, Dr. Daniel P. Spiegel and Dr. Arijit Chakraborty, for vouching for me and supporting me throughout!
Above all, one of the most memorable moments of ARVO 2026 was meeting ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ณ. ๐๐ฒ๐๐. Iโve been reading his papers since the very beginning of my research career, but had never met him in person before. By pure luck, after 11 years, he attended this ARVO and his board happened to be right beside mine! He was kind enough to listen to my work patiently, and that interaction made ARVO 2026 truly unforgettable for me.
๐๐ฅ๐ฉ๐ข ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฒ โ ๐ฑ๐๐๐๐ฒ๐ฑ!
As I move forward, Iโm open to potential job opportunities in vision science research and would sincerely appreciate it if you could spread the word ๐๐ผ.
