It’s been a while since I’ve introduced myself—and there are quite a few new faces here—so I thought I’d share a little more about the path that brought me here.

Hi! 🙋‍♀️ I’m Heather, a PA, and founder and CEO of RENEW Medical Aesthetics & Wellness! Before aesthetics, I spent more than a decade (12 years to be exact) in surgery.

I began my career in cardiac surgery in 2013, where I learned everything from assisting in complex cases to endoscopic vein harvesting. From there, I transitioned into general surgery and had the opportunity to work across a wide range of surgical specialties, including hepatobiliary, plastics, GYN/ONC, robotics, urology, and colorectal surgery. Eventually, I found my home in neurosurgery.

Looking back, surgery was an incredible preparation for the work I do today.

It taught me how to respect anatomy, handle delicate tissue, pay attention to millimeters, anticipate problems before they happen, and stay calm when something doesn’t go according to plan. It also gave me years of experience evaluating patients, making clinical decisions, and recognizing and managing acute complications—skills that are just as important in aesthetics as having a good eye and a steady hand.

Aesthetics brought together so many things I loved about surgery—the anatomy, precision, technical skill, and problem-solving—but in a completely different way.

Today, I get to use those skills to help people feel refreshed, confident, and like the best version of themselves.

I’ve been married to my incredible husband (and business partner!) for 10 years, and together we have three amazing babies: Christopher, 8, Nathan, 6, and Amelia, 21 months. Life is busy, occasionally chaotic, and very full—and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I’m incredibly grateful that my career has taken me from the operating room to where I am today. I truly love what I do, and I’m honored every time someone trusts me with their face, their skin, and their confidence. 🤍
