If you’re constantly bloated, the answer may not be another food you need to eliminate.
I see this all the time: someone has removed gluten, dairy, sugar, carbs, FODMAPs…and they’re still bloated.
Because bloating can be influenced by much more than food.
💩 Constipation and incomplete bowel movements
🍽️ Skipping meals or eating very large meals
🥔 Chronically restricting carbohydrates
🦠 Using a probiotic that isn’t a good fit
🧠 Chronic stress and changes in the gut-brain connection
🥣 Eating too quickly or while distracted
😮💨 Eating in a stressed, rushed state
🫃 Digestive function and GI motility
🥗 Overall inadequate nutrition
And no—stress doesn’t simply “kill your good bacteria.” But chronic stress can influence the gut environment, motility, and how your GI tract responds to food.
Your digestion starts before the food even reaches your stomach.
Slowing down. Sitting down. Breathing. Chewing thoroughly. Eating consistently. Getting enough overall nutrition.
These seemingly simple habits can matter more than people realize.
Your gut is not just responding to your food. It’s responding to your entire environment.
If bloating has become a daily battle, it’s worth looking at the whole picture instead of continuing to eliminate more foods.
