Don’t let people take advantage of you or walk all over you. It’s okay to help others, but the moment they start making their problems yours, that’s where you need to set boundaries. You can be kind and still protect your peace.

People come and go for a lot of reasons growth, timing, mistakes, miscommunication, immaturity, stress. Sometimes distance is necessary and honestly the healthiest thing you can do.

Remember, you don’t owe anyone access to you just because there was history. Forgiveness, understanding, and access to your life are not the same thing.

I’ve always been the girl who gives people too many chances the one who sees the good in everyone, even when it’s hard to find. The one who puts others’ happiness before her own without hesitation. That’s who I’ve been for as long as I can remember. But even with a heart like that, I know my worth and I know when it’s time to walk away.
