Struggling with fibroids and heavy periods?

You're not alone.

Fibroids can be influenced by estrogen signaling, and removing them may help for a little while - then they come back.

If you're dealing with fibroids, we have to consider...

🌿 Estrogen metabolism & elimination {a.k.a. pooping}
🌿 Blood sugar cravings!!
🌿 Slow Thyroid function & Iodine
🌿 Low Vitamin D & K
🌿 Dysbiosis and inflammation

And while you're addressing the bigger picture, there are botanicals I love using to help support comfort and overall hormonal balance.

Need more personalized support?

Book the Initia health consultation for a unique review of your bloodwork, symptoms, and your first steps for reducing fibroids for years to come.

X,
Tara

Your heart is racing.

You feel overwhelmed.

You wake up exhausted… and the first thing you do is reach for coffee.

You’re constantly scrolling, rushing, multitasking, and trying to fit more into your day.

These can all be signs that your nervous system is under stress — and chronically elevated cortisol can affect blood sugar, sleep, and your reproductive hormones, including progesterone.

So instead of asking yourself, **“What else can I take?” ****

Try asking:

**“What can I stop doing?”**

Over the past few months, I’ve made some surprisingly simple changes to support my cortisol and hormones:

1. I stopped scrolling while I eat.
2. I stopped scrolling while I walk.
3. I stopped being on my phone while talking to someone.
4. I stopped reaching for my phone in the middle of the night.
5. I started prioritizing protein throughout the day to support steadier blood sugar.
6. I started slowing down instead of constantly trying to be productive.
7. I gave myself permission to do less.

Because sometimes we don't need another supplement.

We don't need another herb.

We don't need another protocol.

**We need to stop doing all the things.**

And if you're experiencing heart palpitations, remember that blood sugar swings, caffeine, stress and hormonal changes can all play a role — so it's worth looking at the whole picture rather than assuming it's simply a progesterone problem.

Maybe hormone balance doesn't always require doing more.

Maybe it starts with **slowing down.**

Can you start to slow down, finally?

Is Your Sleep Suddenly Terrible?
One of the first hormonal shifts in perimenopause can be a decline in progesterone.

And you may notice it first in your sleep.

The frustrating part? You might spend YEARS trying to figure out why you're suddenly waking at night, feeling wired, or struggling to fall asleep without realizing perimenopause may have started as early as your 30s.

But sleep isn't just about hormones. There are multiple pieces to the puzzle.

✨ Blood sugar balance
✨ Healthy elimination
✨ Nervous system regulation
✨ Hormonal changes
✨ Stress and learning to do LESS

And let's be honest: we're often navigating perimenopause while raising kids, working, managing a household, and carrying everyone else's stress.

No wonder your nervous system is having a hard time winding down.

That's why I created a custom herbal sleep blend designed to support blood sugar balance and calm the nervous system, featuring herbs such as hops, valerian root, and blue vervain, along with GABA support.

🌿 Want a customized, non-hormonal approach to better sleep?

Schedule your initial consultation through the link above, and I'll create a personalized sleep-support blend based on your individual needs.

Your sleep shouldn't be something you just learn to live with.

"Tara, why are you so worried about the foods you're consuming?"

-When you can't walk due to Lyme, Mold Toxicity and Heavy Metals.
-When you're raising twins by yourself and have 0 ZERO energy
-When you can't focus or function

You have to look at your diet and the foods you're consuming first.

Avoiding cow's milk dairy could be the biggest shift you make to reduce inflammation in your gut health.

What to do instead?
-Explore goat or sheep milk
-Explore raw goat or sheep milk, yogurt, kefir, and cheese

Where's gluten found?
-Rye
-Wheat
-Barley

What to do instead? Try consuming...
-Rice - Soaking it first
-Quinoa
-Making gluten-free foods at home
-Lettuce wraps, coconut wraps
-Consuming more sweet potatoes and purple potatoes

Tired of feeling tired all of the time?

We need to address your diet first.

It's called the 4R or 5R approach. You remove foods that inflamed you. And, the top 2 foods?

-Gluten and Cow's Milk Dairy.

Here's the protocol {search on my site for "4R" for more details}

-Remove the foods that inflame you
-Replace digestive enzymes and HCL
-Reinoculate with probiotics
-Replace digestive enzymes and HCL
-Repair with herbs, zinc {carefully} and L-glutamine
-Reestablish lifestyle changes for good health

Then reintroducing gluten and dairy will give you feedback on your digestion.

And, you may decide to remove it altogether 😉 {even when you go to Europe!}

Like many women, I thought **bioidentical hormones were going to be the answer.**

At first, I felt amazing.

Then... they stopped working.

Here’s why that can happen:

Hormones don’t work in isolation. Your body has to **digest, metabolize, and eliminate** them.

If your liver is sluggish, your gallbladder isn’t functioning well, your gut is backed up, or your blood sugar is constantly spiking and crashing, your body can struggle to process hormones efficiently. That can leave you feeling like you’re right back where you started.

That’s why I take a root-cause approach to perimenopause.

🌿 Reduce inflammation through diet.
🌿 Fill nutrient deficiencies with targeted supplements.
🌿 Review blood work from a functional medicine perspective—not just “normal” lab ranges.
🌿 Support your liver, gut, and blood sugar so your hormones can do their job.

For some women, progesterone can absolutely improve sleep. But like any therapy, it’s not the whole picture, and it’s important to weigh both the potential benefits and possible side effects with your healthcare provider.

You deserve a plan that supports your whole body—not just your hormones.

👇 Comment **”PERI”** and I’ll send you my **Natural Perimenopause Roadmap** so you can start addressing the root causes of your symptoms naturally. 🌿
