Faith over fear *´¯`•.¸¸. ♥️

God works in our faith
Satan works in our fears.

Fear asks, “What if everything goes wrong?”
Faith answers, “What if God is already making a way?”

Faith does not mean we never feel afraid. It means we choose to trust God even when we do. It is taking the next step when the whole path is not yet visible, believing that God’s love, wisdom, and presence are greater than any challenge we face.

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” — 2 Timothy 1:7

Today, may you choose faith over fear, hope over worry, and trust over doubt. May you remember that God goes before you, walks beside you, and remains faithful through every season.

Jesus, when fear tries to take hold of my heart, help me place my trust in You. Remind me that You are bigger than any problem I face and stronger than any burden I carry. Fill me with Your peace, courage, and confidence. Help me walk by faith and not by fear, knowing that You are with me every step of the way. Amen. ❤️

What God Wants for You Should Not Have to Be Forced

One of the hardest parts of faith is learning the difference between perseverance and forcing.

Not everything that requires effort is wrong. Healthy relationships require commitment. Callings require consistency. Dreams require stewardship. Even the things God gives us often require us to remain faithful through difficult seasons.

But there is a difference between faithfully tending something and constantly forcing it to survive.

I’ve learned that when something becomes dependent on hiding, striving, manipulating, or carrying the entire weight by yourself, it’s worth pausing and asking God for wisdom.

Sometimes we’re holding onto something because we’re afraid of losing it, not because God is asking us to keep it.

What God gives does not need deception to survive.

What God ordains does not require you to abandon your convictions to keep it.

What God blesses should draw you closer to Him, not further from peace.

That doesn’t mean there won’t be obstacles. There will be. Even God-given assignments face opposition. But there is a difference between resistance from the enemy and constant compromise within your spirit.

When God opens a door, there is often peace even in the challenge.

When we’re forcing something, there is often anxiety, exhaustion, secrecy, and fear of what will happen if people find out the truth.

Maybe the question isn’t, “How do I make this work?”

Maybe the question is, “God, are You asking me to keep building this, or are You asking me to release it?”

Because sometimes obedience looks like staying.

And sometimes obedience looks like letting go.

Either way, you can trust that what God truly has for you will never require you to become someone He never called you to be.

If you have to lose your peace, compromise your integrity, or hide who you are to keep something, it may be time to bring it before God again and ask for fresh discernment.

"and provide for those who grieve in Zion—
to bestow on them a crown of beauty
instead of ashes,
the oil of joy
instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise
instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness,
a planting of the LORD
for the display of his splendor.” Isaiah 61:3

This verse is part of a prophecy about God’s restoration and comfort for His people. It describes a series of exchanges:

* Beauty instead of ashes — Ashes symbolized grief, repentance, or devastation. God replaces sorrow with restoration and dignity.
* Oil of joy instead of mourning — Oil was used in celebrations and anointing. God brings joy where there was sadness.
* Garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair — Praise replaces discouragement and heaviness.
* Oaks of righteousness — Strong, deeply rooted people whose lives reflect God’s character and faithfulness.
* A planting of the LORD — God Himself establishes and sustains them.
* For the display of His splendor — Their restored lives become evidence of God’s glory.

Many Christians also see this passage as fulfilled in the ministry of Jesus Christ, who quoted from Isaiah 61 when beginning His public ministry (Luke 4:16–21).

This verse is often used to encourage people who are grieving, discouraged, or recovering from loss, emphasizing God’s power to bring restoration and hope.

Sometimes the most powerful prayers are the simplest ones.

Before the responsibilities begin, before the emails, the errands, the worries, and the plans for the day, there is one blessing we often overlook—the gift of waking up. Every new morning is a reminder of God's mercy, His faithfulness, and His continued purpose for our lives.

The fact that you opened your eyes today means God has given you another opportunity to grow, to love, to learn, to serve, and to experience His goodness. It means your story is still being written. It means His plans for your life are still unfolding, even if you cannot see them yet.

There may be challenges waiting for you today. There may be unanswered questions, unfinished prayers, and burdens you are carrying. But before focusing on what is missing, take a moment to thank God for what He has already given. Gratitude changes our perspective. It reminds us that every breath is a gift and every day is evidence of God's grace.

Some people are waiting for a miracle while overlooking the miracle of today. The heartbeat in your chest, the breath in your lungs, and the chance to begin again are blessings worth celebrating. God did not wake you up by accident. He woke you up with purpose.

As you move through this day, trust that the same God who woke you this morning will guide you, strengthen you, protect you, and provide for you. Whatever comes your way, you do not face it alone.

I spent my whole life on the surface,
pretending the deep

I sank past every story I had been told.

Thank You, Jesus, for this day.

Thank You for the gift of life, for the breath in my lungs, and for the opportunities this day brings. Thank You for Your love, mercy, and faithfulness that never fail. Guide my thoughts, words, and actions so that I may reflect Your light and grace.

Give me strength for what lies ahead, peace in moments of uncertainty, wisdom in my decisions, and compassion for those I meet. Help me to notice the blessings around me, both great and small, and to walk in gratitude rather than fear.

No matter what this day holds, remind me that I am never alone. You go before me, walk beside me, and hold me in Your loving care.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

🌼 Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have…— 1 Peter 3:15

Living out this verse isn’t always easy. In a world where Christian beliefs are often mocked or misunderstood, it can feel intimidating to speak about our faith. But before we focus on having the right words, we need to make sure our lives point people to Christ.

Many non-believers are confused about what a Christian actually looks like. They hear people claim the name of Christ, yet sometimes see behavior that bears little resemblance to His character. That’s why our witness begins long before we speak.

If we dress, talk, think, and react exactly like the world around us, why would anyone ask about the hope we have? There should be something different about us—not because we are perfect, but because Christ is at work within us. Our kindness in difficult situations, our grace when wronged, our peace in trials, and our love for others can become powerful testimonies.

Sometimes people don’t hear our words until they first see our deeds. This doesn’t mean what we say is unimportant. Rather, our words and our lives must tell the same story.

When Jesus hung on the cross, it was His actions, His forgiveness, His sacrifice, and His unwavering obedience that caused the Roman centurion to declare, “Surely this was the Son of God.”

May our lives so reflect Christ that people are moved to ask about the hope we have—and when they do, may we be ready to answer with gentleness, grace, and truth.

On Monday morning, one of the first questions people ask is, “What did you do on the weekend?”

Sometimes I feel like I should have an exciting answer. A road trip. A big adventure. A packed social calendar. But the truth is, my perfect weekend looks very different.

It’s staying at home. Pottering about without a schedule. Enjoying the simple things. A cup of coffee, a good book, or finally getting around to those little things that have been waiting patiently all week.

It’s having beautiful music playing softly in the background while the world outside rushes on without me. It’s going to church on Sunday morning, spending time with God, and being reminded of what truly matters before another busy week begins.

No drama. No pressure. No need to be everywhere or do everything.
Just peace. Quiet. Contentment.
We’ve somehow been taught that a weekend has to be full to be worthwhile. But sometimes the best weekends are the ones that leave your soul rested rather than your calendar busy.

And honestly, after a week of noise, responsibilities, and constant demands, staying home, worshipping, and simply being is more than enough.

Sometimes doing “nothing much” is actually doing exactly what your heart needs. ❤️

I think some of the hardest moments are when we do not understand why something had to end. Yet God often uses those very seasons to shape us, strengthen us, and prepare our hearts for something beautiful ahead. Even when the path feels uncertain, we can trust that His timing is good, loving, and full of purpose.

With God, every ending is the beginning of something new. What feels like a closed door today may be the very place where His grace, purpose, and blessings begin to unfold tomorrow.

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?”
— Isaiah 43:18–19

Jesus, help me trust You when seasons end and chapters close. Remind me that You are always at work, bringing new life, new hope, and new opportunities from places I cannot yet see. Give me faith to release what is behind me and courage to embrace what You have prepared ahead. Amen. ❤️✨

"When I give, it does not come with strings. I’m not keeping track of what you owe me.
When I give, I chose to do so without ulterior motives.
I give because I’m genuine.
I give because I know what it’s like to be without for too long and to be ignored, to speak and not to be heard, to care for and have nothing in return.
I give because I get it.
It's because I know the value of what’s inside my heart.
And I refuse to let the world stop me from sharing that.
But when things begin to feel like I'm being taking for granted, when you no longer appreciate my sincerity I won’t switch, I won’t get angry, and I won’t be spiteful.
I’ll just get smart and change your role in my life.
Because when I give, I’m all in. But when I’m done, there’s no looking back."
