The age old question:
How did you do it (stay sober so long)?
Personally, I was at my wits end, mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually - broken. It was suggested that I only had to change ONE thing in my life, for it to all get better - that was “everything”!
So I did, People, places, things & even situations all changed & evolved over time and I am still healing and improving myself. Like a fine art oil painting that is never complete; it keeps getting better, one layer of paint at a time…
Special thanks to everyone (you know who you are) who helped me, supported me, & believed in me. Thank You All for your patience, tolerance, & understanding as you continue to love me & work with me in my transformation into the man I am suppose to be, made in Gods image…
Three meetings, church, and working with others is my weekly sober maintenance plan at this time. Sometimes it’s more and rarely it’s less. My constant contact (prayer) with my higher power is a must and it is constant for sure. this is what works best for me.
It takes a village to raise a child. Sometimes, it takes a village, a few county’s, some states, correctional facilities, and multiple rehabs to get a person clean and sober…
Faith without work & work without faith does not not work…. Must do both.
If you’re struggling, reach out anytime.
Cheers to another 10 years!
Living my best life!
God Bless….
PS - I don’t remember riding that horse or a lot of things in my past…. Grateful for all the new memories that I do remember today!
