Card of the day ~ Emotional Release. We all want to be strong. As humans we value strength and independence. But also as humans we need the support of our family, our friends, our tribe. Trying hard to be strong, pushing down emotions such as fear, anger, betrayal, sadness, only forces them to grow and become stronger. The bubbling up and release that eventually comes takes everyone involved by surprise, and sometimes does harm in terms of hurt feelings and words that cannot be taken back. In our society we are conditioned to put on a facade, to be strong, even in times of difficulty. Be vulnerable with yourself and others. It may also be time to step into the role of healer and hold space. Holding space means being fully present, without judgment, in a way that provides a safe and nurturing environment. In this place, guards can be dropped, and a deeper level of awareness and relating can unfold. Resist those who would change who you are. Stans against injustice in your world. It is best to choose the path of non-violence, yet at times you may have to use justified anger as impetus to move yourself forward. This moment calls for you to draw on your own inner strength. Examine how you may be allowing things to happen simply by refusing to resist. This is not a time to allow others to walk over you. Ask yourself: Am I allowing my power to be blocked?
