Last week, we honored and celebrated the life of our beloved long-term resident, Donna.
Donna first came to our center in 2005 for short-term rehabilitation. She returned in 2009 and remained a cherished member of our Shoal Creek family ever since. Over the years, Donna touched countless lives with her warm heart, bright smile, and loving spirit.
Her brother, Keith, has also been an important part of our family, generously volunteering his time over the years by sharing his gift of music through singing, guitar playing, and entertaining residents during Happy Hour.
Donna had a special love for Kermit the Frog, Scooby-Doo, the Grinch, taking pictures, and, most of all, giving hugs. She had a way of making everyone feel seen, loved, and welcomed, and she formed many meaningful friendships throughout the years.
While our hearts are heavy, we are grateful for the privilege of knowing Donna and being part of her journey. Her laughter, kindness, and unforgettable personality will forever remain a part of Shoal Creek.
She was deeply loved, and she will be greatly missed. ❤️
