I originally looked to the use of essential oils to help with anxiety. As I continued on my journey I became fascinated how the chemistry of plants contain different properties to help in a variety of ways. I wanted and needed to learn mo

re so I studied with Aromatic Studies and am certified in the Aroma 101 Foundations, Aroma 201: Advanced Aromatherapy and Organic Body Care Products courses. I am also a member of NAHA- National Association for Holistic Aromatherapy whose mission is to advance the knowledge of the medicinal use of aromatic plants and essential oils to its fullest extent and to support aromatherapy as a truly holistic professional art and science. The more I worked with essential oils, the more I learned how synthetic fragrances are harmful to the respiratory system and have no therapeutic value what so ever. This is where I really dove in. I began to make my own cleaning supplies for home with essential oils and natural ingredients. I looked at my soap, shower gel, candles and stopped using commercially produced items. I learned how to make soap and candles and skin care products. Here I am with Heart n Soul Aromas where I really put my heart and soul into everything I create. My vision is to create with the seasons and to focus on soaps, candles and essentials with pure essential oils and natural ingredients that are good for your body and your home. 🌼 Essential Oil Spotlight: Ylang Ylang (Cananga odorata) 🌼

Ylang Ylang is a beautiful floral essential oil distilled from the fragrant yellow flowers of a tropical tree native to the forests of Southeast Asia.

This lovely oil has a sweet, floral aroma that is often described as heart-centering and gently uplifting. Ylang Ylang is known for its harmonizing qualities, helping to create a sense of both relaxation and emotional balance.

You can experience this beautiful essential oil in our Beginnings Aroma to Go and our Summer Sage candle. We’ve been enjoying Ylang Ylang so much lately—and for good reason! We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

One of the things I love most about essential oils is their versatility and how many ways they can support our everyday needs.

Today I created a diffuser blend to help uplift my mood and keep me focused while I work. Recently, I’ve also made a massage blend for sore muscles and joint discomfort, and I’m currently working on a nourishing hair oil blend.

This is one of my favorite parts about aromatherapy- creating supportive rituals based on what is needed at the moment.

Behind the scenes, I’m creating a custom aromatherapy service centered around connection, and intentional support - working one-on-one to create blends tailored to your individual needs, preferences, and rituals. ✨

One of our favorite parts of Heart n’ Soul Aromas is connecting with you and sharing the heart behind what we create. 🫶

One of may favorite conversations from a recent market went something like this:

“Wait…you actually make these yourself?”

Yes. 🌿

Every product I create starts with intention. I blend essential oils with ingredients chosen specifically for each product- from carrier oils and salts to soy wax, soaps, botanicals and more. From formulation and blending to bottling, labeling, and packaging, each step is completed by hand by me.

Moments like these remind me how much curiosity and excitement there is around aromatherapy, and I truly love those conversations.

Which makes this the perfect time to share that behind the scenes, I’ve been developing workshops!

Last weekend at our market event, someone smelled lavender at my booth and quietly said, “I usually can’t smell anything…this makes me so happy.”

Another conversation turned into an unexpectedly beautiful discussion about soap making, chemistry, oils and creativity.

These are the moments I treasure most, and I carry them with me.

Aromatics have such a powerful way of connecting us- to memory, emotion, comfort, curiosity, and each other. And every market leaves me feeling deeply grateful for the people I meet along the way. 🤍
