The HPV vaccine has been available for almost two decades, and it's still one of the most misunderstood vaccines out there. πŸ’‰

So this National Immunization Awareness Month, we're clearing up four things people get wrong - including who it's for, when it works best, and why it's cancer prevention rather than a conversation about anyone's s*x life.

If you have questions about whether it's right for you or your kid, a provider is the best place to start. πŸ’›

450 families. One day. πŸ’›

We Tabled at the Dallas Mayor's Back to School Fair, and it was a good reminder of why this work matters - parents asking real questions, teens grabbing resources, and a whole lot of conversations that don't usually happen out in the open.

Since 1996, this fair has connected tens of thousands of Dallas children and families with what they need to start the school year strong. We're grateful to be part of it year after year.

To the families who stopped by our table: thank you for talking with us.

Healthy communication isn't something you're born knowing how to do. It's a skill - and like any skill, it takes practice.

This National Couples Day, we're breaking down what that actually looks like day to day

And these aren't just skills for romantic relationships. They work with friends, family, roommates, and anyone else you're figuring things out with.

Some of the most important conversations start with the people a community already trusts. πŸ’›

Our RGV team recently facilitated a Key Conversations training with the promotoras at in Brownsville - equipping them to have honest, judgment-free conversations about s*xual health with the young adults who walk through their doors.

The session covered contraception, STIs, and consent, delivered entirely in Spanish so the training met the community exactly where it is.

provides accessible care for patients of all ages, regardless of insurance status. That approach makes them a natural partner in this work.

When trusted messengers are equipped, whole communities feel it.

Come along with our intern Serena for a day in the life at Talk About It Texas. πŸ’›

Today, Serena is setting up a parent program session - one of the many ways we support families in having open, honest conversations about s*xual health.

Our parent programs give parents and caregivers the resources to talk with their teens about the topics that matter most. Because when parents feel prepared, teens feel supported.

Can you guess?

In Jefferson County, 64% of chlamydia cases occur among young people ages 15–24 - more than any age group by a wide margin.

STIs disproportionately affect young people, and access to testing, education, and preventive care makes a real difference. The more we talk about it, the more we can support the health of the next generation.

Nearly 1 in 4 children are growing up in poverty.

In El Paso County, 24% of children are living below the poverty line, which is a reality that shapes everything from access to healthcare to educational opportunities and long-term outcomes.

Behind every percentage is a child whose future depends on the support systems around them. Strong communities are built when every family has what they need to thrive.

Another week, another room full of young people ready to learn. πŸ’›

Our team was recently at and Turner12, facilitating SHARP with youth in the community - leading conversations about healthy choices, relationships, and the tools they need to take care of themselves.

Every question asked, every idea shared, every certificate earned is proof that young people are hungry for this kind of education when it's made available to them.

Even as funding shifts and the landscape changes, our commitment doesn't. We show up because they show up. And we're grateful for partners like W.E. Bridge and Turner12 who help make that possible.
