What if the goal isn’t to “fix” your body… but to learn how to work with it? 🤍

In this week’s episode of Wellness Your Way, I’m joined by Dr. Nahal Delpassand to talk about the power of adaptation over perfection, especially for women navigating midlife, chronic illness, autoimmune + invisible conditions, and disability. ✨

This conversation is a reminder that wellness doesn’t have to look perfect to be meaningful 💛

GLP-1s are everywhere right now 👀

But before you start, ask yourself:
✨ Is this supporting my long-term health or just quick weight loss?
✨ Have I addressed the root causes of my cravings, inflammation, or blood sugar issues?
✨ Am I nourishing my body enough to maintain muscle, energy, and hormones?
✨ Do I have sustainable habits in place for when the medication stops?
✨ Am I making this decision from empowerment or pressure?

There’s no shame in using tools that help, but it’s important to ask: are you using it as a supportive tool or expecting it to be a magic cure?

Lasting wellness means addressing the root cause, building sustainable habits, and giving your body the support it truly needs. When the medication ends, will you have the tools to maintain the lifestyle and health you’re working toward?

Your body deserves more than a quick fix, it deserves nourishment, support, and care for the long run.

💬 Want support getting to the root cause and creating habits that actually last (with or without GLP1s)?

If you’ve ever stood in the Target aisle wondering, “Is this actually healthy?” … you’re definitely not alone 🛒👀

Big box stores can feel so overwhelming because there are endless options, confusing labels, and “healthy” marketing on basically everything.
But the good news? If you know what to look for, there are actually tons of healthier hidden gems at Target and many of them are affordable too ✨

Comment "TARGET" for a list of my favorite better-for-you sweets + snacks that support balanced energy, blood sugar, and fewer ingredient overloads without feeling restrictive 🤍

If you’re living a busy lifestyle, constantly juggling responsibilities, dealing with daily stress, and navigating complex female hormones… your body needs fuel.

Not more restriction.

A lot of women are trying to “optimize” their health while running on:
coffee instead of breakfast
chronic stress
intense workouts
poor sleep
under-eating during the day

Then adding fasting on top of it all.

Your body doesn’t see that as wellness. It sees it as survival.

And over time, that can show up as:
fatigue
anxiety
hormone imbalances
blood sugar crashes
cravings
burnout

Supporting your hormones starts with giving your body enough nourishment to feel safe. Sometimes healing looks less like skipping meals… and more like consistently fueling your body well.

Caffeine isn’t the problem...relying on it to survive the day is.

And to be clear, I’m not against coffee. I love a good cup too 🤍

But if you’re relying on caffeine to get through the day, stay focused, or feel like a human… your body may be trying to tell you something deeper.

When your body is constantly exhausted, overstimulated, craving sugar/caffeine, or crashing by 2 PM, it’s often a sign your system is running on stress hormones instead of real energy production.

Some common root causes I see:
• blood sugar dysregulation
• under-eating or low protein intake
• iron deficiency
• poor sleep quality
• chronic stress + cortisol imbalance
• nutrient depletion

Coffee can temporarily mask fatigue but it doesn’t fix why your body is struggling to make energy in the first place.

You deserve stable energy that doesn’t depend on caffeine to carry you through the day. ✨

If you want to better understand whether what you’re experiencing is actually “normal,” our “Is This Normal?” quiz is a great first step. It can help identify whether your symptoms may be connected to underlying imbalances and point you toward potential next steps.

One of the most overlooked nutrient deficiencies I see in practice is iron deficiency and it can show up as:

• constant fatigue
• low motivation
• brain fog
• anxiety, irritability, or sadness
• feeling “burnt out” no matter how much you rest

Iron is essential for oxygen delivery, energy production, thyroid function, and neurotransmitter health. When levels are low, your body feels it everywhere.

Before blaming yourself for lacking discipline or motivation, it may be worth looking deeper at your labs and nutrition.

Did you know your lifetime alcohol intake may play a role in colorectal cancer risk, not just how much you’re drinking right now?

A recent study from the American Cancer Society found that the total amount of alcohol consumed over a person’s lifetime was associated with colorectal adenoma + colorectal cancer risk.

But the encouraging part? Reducing or stopping alcohol intake now may still help lower your risk moving forward, even if you drank more heavily in the past.

The #1 question I get asked: “Megan, why do you wear BOTH WHOOP and Oura?” 😂

Simple: I love metrics. Math nerd at my core 🤓 But honestly, they serve different purposes for me.

✨ Oura = softer metrics (sleep, cycle tracking, temperature trends)
✨ WHOOP = performance metrics (strain, recovery, training)

Most days, Oura tells me to slow down while WHOOP pushes me to do more and I love the balance.

If you’re overwhelmed by wearable data or unsure which metrics actually matter, this post is for you. I’m breaking down the most important metrics to track + how to actually use your data to improve your health.

Comment “METRICS” and I’ll send you the blog post + my discount codes for Oura & WHOOP 🤍
