Lately, I’ve been noticing a common theme with our clients at Health2o: many of us are moving through our days with a sense of urgency that our bodies are clearly feeling, and yet we aren’t sure how to calm it all down.

In this month’s blog post “The Layman’s Guide to Adrenals & Stress”, (Link in Bio), I’m getting straight into the physiology of why we feel this way. It’s all about your adrenal glands, those tiny but mighty “first responders” that manage your stress and, believe it or not, have a massive impact on your digestion.

Because the adrenals are “mineral-hungry” glands, meaning they burn through electrolytes like sodium and potassium when we’re under pressure, I wanted to offer a little tangible support this month.

During the month of April, every client will receive a free packet of our electrolyte mix after their session. It’s a simple, effective way to give your adrenals the minerals they need to help your system shift back into a state of ease.

There are many good reasons that fasting has been a spiritual and healing practice throughout history around the world. Consuming the nutrition from organic juices while allowing your digestion to rest from the hard work of processing fiber and bulk is a powerful tool on its own.

BUT... Adding three days of consecutive colon hydrotherapy sessions to your juice cleanse takes it to another level. Every time we flush the colon with water in a colonic session the small intestine has an opportunity to shift contents into the colon because we have made some space. By not adding bulk to your digestive tract while consuming our organic juice and soup, we see the kind of results you “can’t unsee” in those three sessions. Most clients are blown away by how much their body releases even and especially on that third day.

Please note: at least one session prior to starting our three day juice cleanse is required for new clients. We have found that you will have the best experience possible this way. There are multiple reasons that you cannot book our 3 day juice cleanse online. Book your New Client session and talk to your therapist about it when you come in, or send us a message or give us a call and we will be happy to get your juice cleanse scheduled.

When asked “what is the superpower of Health2o?” I think of these frequent interactions from our grateful clients. Our team is deeply trained and skilled, but more than that, we all have a personal connection to this work. We love what we do because cleansing this way has been so transformative in our own lives and we want to share it. We believe it is true that our overall health is directly related to the health of our gut because we get to see that connection every day. Even in ancient times it was understood that if we are clean inside, we can be well.

Our gut needs care because the world that we live in is very hard on us. The stress that we carry, the processed foods we eat, the toxins and unwanted organisms we are exposed to… all of these things are hard for our digestive systems to manage. So yes, the ancient practice of cleansing has an updated version called colon hydrotherapy, the answer for our needs in a modern world.
