I joined the Wild Heart Equine Retreat in Ireland this past June 2026 and it was not only wonderful in so many ways, but it exceeded my expectations.
Roxie Robertson is adept at providing detailed descriptions to set proper expectations and therefore attracting those individuals who are most likely to enjoy her intimate retreats that truly bring out the best in people and their partnerships with horses. She helps us figure out our best path forward while enjoying the retreat as we also figure out an enriching path forward in life.
Her ability to assess people and their expectations and create experiences that enhance learning, partnership with humans and horses is superb! Roxie’s professional training, education, knowledge and her own intuitive thoughts came together beautifully throughout our retreat experience.
Roxie’s partnership with Jake Hassall on this particular trip was perfection. Not only did they partner extremely well, Jake was an influential asset to to our enjoyable experiences everywhere, but especially with the horses. His notable reputation proceeds him and he certainly demonstrated his knowledge of working with people and horses individually and in groups very well.
Roxie’s attention to detail coupled her her flexibility and ability to pivot as needed made everything flow seamlessly.
Our accommodations were superb, the horses were healthy and able to join as partners and teachers throughout our ground and riding experiences.
Our site excursions were always delightful from Dublin to Galway, to castles to our boat ride and all the lovely meals we shared at perfect locations along the way. It felt like the perfect combination of self discovery, partnership, fun, laughter and breath taking sights along with “one of a kind”experiences that one could hope for. This is one trip for the memory books!
