Black and grey is one of those styles where the detail does all the talking. This upper arm piece features a warrior-woman portrait rendered in heavy shading and fine linework, with selective red spot-color used on her mask, face markings, and lips - an illustrative anime take on the style that keeps the palette controlled without going flat. The contrast between the deep black shading and those precise red accents is what makes it read. This color anime piece came together over a few sessions and we're genuinely proud of how it landed. The character features light red hair, a zippered red mask pulled up to the face, and saturated purples and blues bleeding into each other across the thigh. Building the color palette was a conversation - the client brought a reference, and we worked up a custom design from there before ever touching skin. Three licensed artists on staff, all styles — color, black and grey, realism, anime, illustrative. Walk-ins welcome; returning clients get 15% off their next piece. If you're new, the consultation is free — we'll sit down, look at your reference, talk through placement and what'll work long-term. Studio's on Santa Fe Drive in Denver's Art District, one block from Colfax. Locals from all over the city come through: Capitol Hill, RiNo, Baker, LoHi. Prices are fair and we're upfront about them.
