Come learn how to recognize an overdose, respond safely, and use Narcan/Naloxone. Everyone is welcome, these skills can save lives.

The Phoenix Center does amazing work on campus, and on this beautiful but rainy day, their efforts truly shine. Thank you for highlighting the impact that relationship violence has on our Auraria Campus community.

We are available for crisis walk-ins during all our normal business hours and are located in the Plaza building, which these red flags are placed around.

The Health Center has a formalized agreement with Denver Health that provides all students on the Auraria campus direct access to a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) who is trained to perform medical forensic examinations. 
The Health Center at Auraria is available to coordinate and pay for transportation to Denver Health for the SANE exam, if this is requested.

Students who access a SANE for a medical forensic examination are NOT required to participate with law enforcement investigations or any criminal justice response.

Toilet paper is offered for free. Why aren’t pads and tampons? 🩸

Period products should be freely accessible in all public restrooms on our campus.

In collaboration with the Student Advisory Committee to the Auraria Board (SACAB) we are working to address period poverty and stigma on campus.
• 86% of ci-women reportedly started their period in public without the supplies they needed. 
• 1 in 5 menstruating students have missed school because of a lack of period supplies and resources. 

Period products (i.e. pads and tampons) are a crucial and a constant hygiene need similar to toilet paper and yet menstrual health is a topic that is often stigmatized or ignored. Supporting students with high-quality, freely accessible products improves the educational experience and alleviates the financial burden and stress from when a sudden need arises.
