As first-day-of-school pictures fill my social media feed, I commiserate with moms everywhere when we say, “How did this happen? Who let these kids grow up so fast?”
And I realized something: the babies born the year Connect Medical opened its doors in 2015 are walking into fifth grade right now.
That stopped me for a minute.
So much of the conversation around our mission can focus on one moment—the pregnancy test, the ultrasound, the decision in front of someone. But life keeps going. Babies become kindergarteners. Kindergarteners become middle schoolers. Families keep needing communities that see them, support them, care for them, and remind them of their dignity.
Today, Connect gets to be there for more of that story. From early pregnancy care and support to fifth graders who need sports physicals and body literacy education. Our mission continues to grow alongside this community.
So, as you send your own children and grandchildren out the door this week, know this: your generosity has helped children in our community grow up, too.
