Meet Coach Owen Yurko, head instructor of Beaverhead Judo Club.

Owen began his martial arts journey at just 6 years old and has spent years developing his skills and passion for the martial arts. He currently holds the rank of Nikyu (2nd Degree Brown Belt) in Judo.

For Owen, Judo is much more than a sport. He believes it is an incredible tool for improving physical fitness, developing practical self-defense skills, preventing injuries through proper movement and body awareness, and building the discipline needed to succeed both on and off the mat.

Through Judo, students learn respect, perseverance, confidence, and how to overcome challenges—lessons that extend far beyond training.

Owen is excited to bring the sport, culture, and life lessons of Judo to the Dillon community and looks forward to helping students of all ages discover what Judo can do for them.

Happy Bright spot Friday everyone! Today we celebrate our members who are willing to come in and remember LT. Michael Murphy in his Hero WOD, the MURPH. This is not an easy workout, and everyone who showed up knew that before coming. We packed the house with people ready to work hard and get better!! That is what community is all about.

This is more than just a workout, and Topo Fitness is more than just a gym. Our members are family and community. Thank you to everyone who showed up and showed out, I can't wait to see where this journey goes with all of you.

BIG CONGRATULATIONS to our local gym enthusiast, Auna Lawler Johnston on taking home first in her age group at the big fork spartan race this weekend!! Auna has always been one of our incredible athletes and a huge motivator for our members, and myself, at the gym. This weekend she proved once again why I, as a 24 year old gym owner, am proud when I can keep pace with her during a workout. We love you Auna! Thank you for all you do for us here😄
