POV: you came in terrified I was going to give you “tattooed eyebrows” 🤭🤭🤭

I get it. But getting your brows done should feel like an enhancement to what you already have—not like you left with somebody else’s eyebrows!!!

For her, even though her hair is darker, her actual brow hair grows in pretty light. Going too dark with the tattoo underneath would only make those lighter hairs stand out more… and potentially create something she now has to tint or maintain just to make everything blend. Kind of defeats the purpose, right?

So we kept them soft. Enough shape and definition to make a difference, without making her brows the first thing you notice. 🤩

I really do think there’s just as much artistry in knowing when to show restraint as there is in knowing where to add. We can always build at the touch-up—and that’s exactly what we did here!! 😍

Three tattoos in one appointment sounds a little unhinged until you realize you only have to heal once…. 🤭

Full-face appointments definitely aren’t for everyone, but for the right client, I absolutely LOVE them. Brows, lips + lash line can all be done in one longer appointment, which means one day set aside for the actual tattooing and, more importantly, one healing window instead of planning your life around three separate ones. 🤩

And no, doing everything at once doesn’t mean we’re trying to give you a whole new face. Each service is still designed individually and conservatively around what’s already there. The goal is really just to make the things you normally do with makeup a little more permanent, more sweat proof —and your mornings a lot easier. 😍

It’s a longer day in my chair, but if you already know you want multiple services, I’d personally rather rip the bandaid off once. 🫶🏼

Your brow pencil and I have the same job… we just go about it a little differently... 😉

For years, my client had been filling in her brows every day. The problem wasn’t that she was doing anything wrong—it was that she was spending time creating the same look every single morning.

Instead of tattooing the exact makeup shape she was used to, we designed brows that worked with her natural features and the hair she already had. Cosmetic tattooing isn’t about creating a permanent version of your makeup. It’s about creating a foundation that still looks effortless whether you’re barefaced or decide to add a little pencil for special occasions. (And yes I’d always rather you draw on thicker/longer/or makeup-y style brows but that’s a caption for another time 😉)

The best cosmetic tattoo should make getting ready easier, not lock you into one look forever. That’s why my goal is always to create brows that are flattering now and will still be flattering years from now. 🤩

Cosmetic tattooing is basically one long lesson in trusting the process….. 🤭

One of the reasons I love sharing before, fresh, and healed photos together is because seeing the full journey makes lip blush make SO much more sense. If you’ve only ever seen fresh results, it would be easy to assume the goal is permanent lipstick…… but it isn’t. 🤔

Lip blush is meant to restore color that’s been lost over time, add definition, improve symmetry, and give your lips that “you look good today” look without anyone immediately knowing why. The fresh result is just one part of the story — the healed result is the TRUE destination!!! 😍

The more healed work you can find from an artist, the better you’ll understand their style, their priorities, and what your own results are likely to look like months and years down the road.

Healed results will always matter more to me than fresh ones. 🫶🏼

One of the biggest misconceptions about brows is that getting them tattooed means signing up for the same bold, Instagram brow everyone else has….

The goal isn’t to give every client the same eyebrow. The goal is to create your eyebrow—just a little fuller, more balanced, and easier to live with every day. Some clients need more density. Some need more structure. Some need almost nothing at all. But that’s the beauty, every set is 100% customized to the face it’s sitting on. 🤩

And the first step to truly customized brows?? Knowing when not to do too much!!

That’s why I take a conservative approach at the initial appointment. We can always add more density, definition, or fullness at your touch-up, but we can’t un-tattoo a brow that was pushed too far too fast. The best results are built intentionally, not rushed.😍

Good cosmetic tattooing isn’t about giving you the trendiest brow on the internet. It’s about creating something that fits your features, your lifestyle, and still feels like you YEARS from now.

If people notice that you look refreshed, put together, or like you’ve somehow been blessed with naturally great brows, that’s the goal. If the first thing they notice is your cosmetic tattoo, I’ve probably missed the mark…. 😬

What if your artist’s biggest skill isn’t what they add—but what they choose not to? 🤭

This client came in with very little natural brow hair and wanted brows that felt effortless, soft, and believable. The goal wasn’t to create the boldest possible result. The goal was to create something that looked like it belonged on her face….

That’s why I take a conservative approach to initial appointments. Cosmetic tattooing isn’t about seeing how much pigment we can implant in one session. It’s about creating a result that heals beautifully and gives us room to refine, adjust, and build where it’s actually needed. 🤩

The touch-up is where so much of the magic happens. Once I can see how your skin heals and retains pigment, I can make thoughtful adjustments instead of guessing on day one.

It’s important to find an artist who can give you the look you’re after. It’s even more important to find one who’s willing to say “not yet” when that’s what’s best for your skin, your features, and your long-term results. 🤍

I mean of course I wish it were that easy but unfortunately, that is just not how the cookie crumbles…. 🥲

Can lip blush make the lips appear fuller? ABSOLUTELY. A lot of people naturally lose color around the borders of their lips over time, so simply restoring that color and definition can make a really big difference and give the illusion of more fullness without ever changing the shape.💋

But there’s a HUGE difference between lip skin and regular face skin. Once tattoo pigment starts getting pushed too far outside the natural lip border trying to create extra volume, it usually heals looking disconnected from the lips themselves. It may look fine fresh, but once everything softens and settles, that’s when you can really see the difference 🤔

It’s important to find an artist who can give you what you want, but honestly it’s even more important to find one willing to tell you when something may not age well long term… and of course I’ll always do that 🥰

I know the million dollar question when it comes to getting your face tattooed is: what does it look like years later?? 🤔

THIS is what intentional tattooing looks like—and EXACTLY the kind of result I’m always aiming for. Nothing heavy, nothing overdone… just soft, even color that still looks like her lips, just more balanced and a little more put together…. 🤩

This was a subtle lip neutralization, and she’s always gravitated toward tones like this anyway—so instead of applying it every day, it’s just there. That’s really the sweet spot with lip work. It shouldn’t feel like a drastic change, it should feel like you, just easier. 😍

Everything I do is built with the long game in mind. We start conservative, layer intentionally, and keep things in a place that’s going to age well in your skin—not something that looks “done,” but something that stays wearable, no matter the service.

No makeup here. Just a little bit of structure in the brows and a soft lash line doing A LOT more than you’d think. It’s not dramatic, it’s not obvious — it just makes everything look more lifted, more defined, and like you have your life together before you’ve even had coffee. 🤩

This is the part people don’t expect — it doesn’t look like makeup. It just looks like you on a really good day. No filling, no lining, no “hold on let me fix this real quick” before you leave the house. 😉

And going into summer? Heat, sweat, pool days… this is the kind of thing that actually makes sense. It holds up, it stays put, and it keeps everything looking fresh without the extra effort.
