The MISSION 6-month outcomes have been released!
The MISSION Registry is the largest ever multi-center carpal tunnel release (CTR) study in the United States.
“This paper is significant because the results demonstrate real-world, patient-reported experiences across the largest set of CTS patients in a single study, establishing a new benchmark for safety, efficacy and patient outcomes in carpal tunnel release procedures,” - Dr. Victor Marwin, principal investigator for MISSION.
UGCTR was associated with:
• Higher use of only local anesthesia (WALANT)
• Small incision that did not require sutures
• Median return to normal activities of 3 days and return to work in 4 days
• Comparable outcomes for unilateral and simultaneous bilateral releases
• High overall patient satisfaction
