Since I was a young girl, I've had a deep connection to nature and the cosmos. Fortunately, I grew up with a mother who was very open about her own spirituality and connection to spirit. Growing up in a large family, I became interested in human behavior and psychology early on. Empathic and deeply intuitive, I found peace and solace in nature, music, reading, writing, and creating art in many different mediums. These activities became a safe space for me to explore and express myself, as well as process the big feelings that came with growing up in a loving whirlwind of chaos. My journey has been guided by intuition and inspired by inner sparks, each clue followed and studied helping to build the unique foundation from which I now serve. Massage school was my formal entry point into the world of Eastern medicine and philosophy, although my interest had been aroused many years prior through my informal studies of spirituality, energy, yoga, the occult and our cosmology. Naturally inquisitive and philosophicalβ€”hello Sagittarius stellium and 1/3 profile in Human Designβ€”I have followed the sparks and been enchanted and enriched by the fields of Eastern medicine and philosophies, metaphysics, consciousness and human potential, astrology, human design, anthroposophy, transcendentalism, holistic health and ecology, herbalism and agriculture. All of these pieces have been flowing like streams into a river, creating a beautiful, ever-evolving composition from which I serve. My mission is to inspire individuals to reclaim their power as sovereign beings, equipping them with tools, knowledge, and practices to take radical responsibility for their lives, health, and well-being. I believe that as spiritual beings navigating the human experience, we can achieve dynamic balance & wellness of body, mind, and spirit by recognizing our integral connection to nature and the unified field of love, and by honoring our cyclical rhythms and cosmic roots. β™ΎοΈπŸŒŒπŸ’•πŸŒ±

Teaching my boys about wildtending🌾 part of our homeschool lesson this day was about monarchs, their habitat, life cycle & migration. Have you ever opened a milkweed seed pod??!! πŸ₯Ή they are filled with the sweetest little floofs that carry the seeds on the breeze. The hope is that some of the seeds will land, take root, and become next year's food source and habitat for the monarchs and so many other creatures. Tending & stewarding the land isn't always about neatly manicured lawns, farms & gardens, sometimes it's literally just helping free the seeds on the breeze with your kiddos in hopes they find their way. Filmed by my 9 year old. βœ¨οΈπŸŒ¬πŸ«§πŸ›πŸ¦‹

Greetings, beautiful people. I hope the summer months treated you well and spoiled you with bounty and beauty. As the days grow darker and the wheel turns from Mabon to Samhain, may you continue to tend your terrain with sunshine, minerals, harvest blessings and bodywork!

In Chinese medicine, we are shifting from summer/yang outward energy into autumn/yin when energy moves inward and downward. βœ¨οΈπŸŒžπŸ‚πŸπŸͺΎπŸ€Ž

Autumn is the season of the element metal with a focus on lungs (yin) & large intestine (yang). An especially potent time to focus on breath, respiration & elimination. A good way to support this is through grounding, nourishing, warming foods: think roasted veggies, fermented foods, broths, stews, oatmeal, congee, poached pears & stewed apples. Also a good time for bitter greens which help support the liver! Foods that workly gently on digestion & elimination, and movement practices like yoga, qigong, tai chi, walking and intentional breathing to encourage circulation, expand the breath and move areas of physical tension and stagnation. πŸ€˜πŸΌπŸŒ¬πŸŒ€

My friend Kristen over at Elemental has some special autumn offerings and an upcoming October yoga challenge to inspire you to peacefully find your way back into your yoga practice after the hustle & bustle of summer. Be sure to follow Elemental Studio Yoga & Wellness to stay up to date on offerings & events!! πŸ§˜πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

Yesterday, while out foraging I had an interesting encounter with a garter snake (no visuals in this video, incase snake is a trigger). Intuitively, it felt more like a curious assessment than aggressive behavior, but intriguing nonetheless!! 🐍🌹

perhaps one of the more difficult parts of
being human is accepting that not
everything needs, or will have, a clean resolution.
as someone with prominent libra placements, this sits heavy on my heart.
libra wants resolution, harmony, balance, peace.
but in life, some relationships leave us holding seemingly contradictory truths at the same time.
there can still be love where there can no longer be closeness.
there can be forgiveness without reconciliation.
there can be gratitude for what was without a desire to return to it.
there can be compassion alongside boundaries.
there can be grief for what was lost while knowing that letting go was necessary.
and maybe healing isn't always arriving at a place where nothing hurts anymore.
maybe sometimes it's being able to look at another human being ~ and yourself ~ with enough tenderness to say: we were both human here.

some things were beautiful. some things hurt.
some things probably became distorted along the way. I don't need to rewrite what happened in order to honor what was real. I don't need to hate you in order to let you go. and I can genuinely hope that life is gentle with you, even if I am no longer meant to walk beside you.

and perhaps that's a simple kind of love and peace, too. πŸ›πŸŒ€πŸ¦‹βœ¨οΈπŸ€
