🇺🇸🚑 Throwback Thursday | Honoring the Heroes of 9/11 🚒👮‍♂️

Twenty-five years ago, in the wake of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, EMS providers, firefighters, and law enforcement officers from South Jersey answered the call to serve at Ground Zero. Among them were several current, former, and retired paramedics from Atlantic and Cape May Counties who traveled to New York to support one of the largest emergency response efforts in our nation's history.

This photo was taken at a staging area outside New York City, where thousands of first responders gathered before deploying to assist with rescue, recovery, and support operations.

Today, we recognize and honor the courage of those who responded, and recognize the lasting impact that day had on the emergency services profession. We are forever grateful to the men and women who stepped forward during our nation's time of need. Their service, sacrifice, and dedication will never be forgotten. 🇺🇸❤️

🚑🎓 Congratulations to several of our AtlantiCare EMS EMTs who are taking the next step in their careers by beginning the Paramedic Program at Atlantic Cape Community College!

Over the next 2-3 years, these dedicated clinicians will complete rigorous classroom instruction along with thousands of hours of clinical and field training. Their education will include advanced patient assessment, cardiac monitoring and EKG interpretation, medication administration, advanced airway management, endotracheal intubation, and much more.

This commitment represents countless hours of study, hands-on learning, and dedication to providing the highest level of prehospital care to the communities we serve. We are proud to support these future paramedics as they advance their knowledge, skills, and ability to make a difference when every second counts.

💜International Overdose Awareness Day—a time to remember those we have lost, support those who are struggling, and stand with families and communities affected by overdose.

🎓🚑 From Students to Coworkers! 🚑🎓

Our first AtlantiCare EMS Academy EMT class has scheduled their NREMT exams to become certified EMT’s. Tyree Chapman was one of our first students to pass the NREMT exam, become certified and started his career with AtlantiCare EMS!

What began as a classroom of students is becoming a team of coworkers dedicated to serving our communities. Congratulations to our newest EMTs! 👏💙

🚑🏆 MAB 12 and our team attended the Housing of Squad 1272 with our friends at Dorothy Volunteer Fire & Rescue!

We were proud to showcase our Mobile Ambulance Bus, MAB 12 and honored to receive 2nd Place for Best Appearing Ambulance! 🎉🥈

Thank you to Dorothy Volunteer Fire & Rescue for their hospitality and for bringing together so many dedicated members of the emergency services community. Events like these celebrate the teamwork, tradition, and commitment that keep our communities safe every day.

🌟 Learning, exploring, and having fun! 🚑

Our team visited with the kids at AtlantiCare Camp SOAR at Oakcrest High School. Participants had the opportunity to tour one of our ambulances, see the equipment EMTs use everyday, and learn what it takes to work in Emergency Medical Services. From patient care to teamwork and serving the community, our crew enjoyed sharing how EMS professionals make a difference everyday. Thank you to Camp SOAR for having us! ❤️💙
