🍂Enjoy the fall season—without taking a fall! 🍂

September is Fall Prevention Awareness Month, and while we’re ready for cooler weather, changing leaves, and all things fall, there’s one kind of fall we want to prevent!

Falls can happen at any age, but older adults are especially at risk. A few simple steps can help keep you or someone you love safe:

🍁 Keep walkways clear and well-lit
👟 Wear supportive, non-slip shoes
💪 Stay active to maintain strength and balance
💊 Review medications that may cause dizziness
👀 Keep up with vision and hearing checks
🏠 Use handrails and grab bars where needed

CHR program is available for home safety checks and home visits within the Cheyenne and Arapaho jurisdiction area. Call for more information.
