If you discover a tick bite, it’s important not to panic, but it is important to take the right steps.

1ļøāƒ£ Remove the tick properly using fine-tipped tweezers. Pull upward steadily and clean the area afterward.

2ļøāƒ£ Save the tick in a sealed bag or container in case you want it tested for Lyme Disease or other tick-borne infections.

3ļøāƒ£ Schedule an appointment — especially if the tick was attached for a long time or symptoms develop. Antibiotics may be recommended in some cases.

4ļøāƒ£ Monitor for symptoms like fatigue, fever, headaches, brain fog, joint discomfort, dizziness, tingling, or sleep issues.

5ļøāƒ£ Don’t ignore ongoing symptoms. Lyme Disease is often overlooked because symptoms can mimic many other conditions.

Our clinic offers testing options, evaluations, and customized care plans for patients dealing with Lyme Disease and chronic symptoms related to tick-borne illness.

May is Lyme Disease Awareness Month, a time to raise awareness about a condition that is often overlooked or misdiagnosed.

Many people with Lyme Disease experience symptoms like fatigue, brain fog, joint discomfort, headaches, dizziness, sleep issues, and tingling or numbness. Because these symptoms can mimic many other conditions, patients often spend months or even years searching for answers.

Not every patient remembers a tick bite or develops the classic bullseye rash, which is one reason Lyme Disease can be difficult to recognize.

At our clinic, we offer testing options and customized care plans designed to help patients better understand what may be contributing to their symptoms. Our goal is to take a comprehensive, individualized approach to supporting overall health and function.

It's Parkinson’s Disease Awareness Month! 🩶 Let's take a closer look at how Parkinson’s Disease is commonly managed and what other options may exist.

The traditional ā€œgold standardā€ approach often relies on medications that increase or mimic dopamine. While these can help reduce symptoms, there are some important limitations:

āž”ļø They do not slow or stop disease progression
āž”ļø Higher doses are often needed over time
āž”ļø Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, and dry mouth
āž”ļø Increased doses can lead to dyskinesias (abnormal movements)
āž”ļø In some cases: confusion, hallucinations, or even psychosis

For many people, this approach focuses on symptom management, but doesn’t address the bigger picture.

Our Parkinson’s Disease Supportive Care Program is designed to:
āœ” Help slow progression
āœ” Reduce symptoms as naturally as possible
āœ” Customized to each individual

Our approach focuses on supporting the body through targeted therapies, lifestyle strategies, and personalized care.

April is Parkinson’s Disease Awareness Month, a time to raise awareness and understanding of Parkinson’s Disease. 🌷

Parkinson’s disease is a progressive brain disorder that damages dopamine-producing neurons. Common symptoms include tremor, stiffness, slow movement and non-movement issues like depression or sleep issues.

According to the Parkinson's Foundation, here are 5 facts about Parkinson’s everyone should know:

1ļøāƒ£ Nearly 90,000 people in the U.S. are diagnosed with Parkinson’s each year.
2ļøāƒ£ Scientists believe a combination of environmental and genetic factors cause PD.
3ļøāƒ£ People with Parkinson’s experience both movement and non-movement related symptoms.
4ļøāƒ£ Symptoms can be managed through medications, lifestyle changes, exercise and in some cases, surgery.
5ļøāƒ£ Early-onset Parkinson’s disease occurs in people younger than 50 years of age.

At our clinic, we offer supportive care for patients with Parkinson’s with the goal of both slowing the progression of the disease and putting symptoms into remission as naturally as possible. Our approach focuses on supporting the body through targeted therapies, lifestyle strategies, and personalized care.

Here are 5 simple ways to support your gut health starting today:

āœ… Slow down and chew your food
Digestion begins in the mouth. Eating too quickly puts stress on your digestive system and can contribute to bloating and discomfort.

āœ… Prioritize protein and fiber
Protein supports tissue repair, and fiber feeds beneficial gut bacteria. Aim for a balanced plate instead of high-sugar, processed meals.

āœ… Stay hydrated
Water helps move food through the digestive tract and supports regular bowel movements.

āœ… Reduce added sugars and ultra-processed foods
Excess sugar can disrupt the balance of healthy gut bacteria and contribute to inflammation.

āœ… Manage stress
Your gut and brain are directly connected. Chronic stress can slow digestion and increase gut irritation. Even 10 minutes of walking, prayer, breathwork, or stretching can help.

If you’re already doing these things and still struggling with bloating, fatigue, food sensitivities, or irregular digestion, it may be time to look deeper.

At MP Health & Schneider Clinic, we use targeted testing and structured programs to uncover the root cause, not just manage symptoms.

Your gut does more than digest food — it influences your energy, mood, immune system, and inflammation levels.

🚨 Signs Your Gut May Need Help:

• Bloating or excessive gas
• Irregular bowel movements (constipation or diarrhea)
• Brain fog or fatigue
• Food sensitivities
• Skin issues like acne or eczema
• Frequent illness
• Joint discomfort

Many people normalize these symptoms, but they’re often signals that your gut barrier and microbiome may be out of balance.

One common root issue? Leaky gut. When the intestinal lining becomes compromised, it can trigger inflammation throughout the body.

We break down leaky gut and healing tips in our blog:

Feeling tired, foggy, gaining weight, moody, or not sleeping well?

It may not be ā€œjust stressā€ or ā€œjust aging.ā€
It could be a hormone imbalance.

Unlike traditional Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT), which uses synthetic hormones, our clinic offers Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT), which uses hormones that are molecularly identical to the ones your body naturally produces. Our BHRT program is customized to your specific lab results and carefully monitored for precision and safety.
