The videos to provide visuals of babies were particularly helpful, as was the practice with the dolls. Selene was so kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable - I loved her!” -JG. Our Baby Care workshop is focused on the practical skills and info you need to feel ready for your new housemate to move in. Taught by lovely, experienced postpartum doulas Selene and Nicky, who know exactly what’s needed to support new families through transition to parenthood! Offered monthly!

Swipe to see what’s on the menu for classes and groups for expectant families and those with new babies 💕 Of note: due to popular demand we added a 2nd Baby Care class on 6/7, so now you can catch both and sharing their amazing baby tips! At the end of the month you can catch our brand new All About Induction workshop, a class we’re adding because this topic is coming up A LOT - and we’re here to help folks understand the process and how to advocate for their preferences along the way. ✨ New workshop for birthing folks! ✨ With the rate of inductions being what it is, we’re glad to be offering this workshop to the community. Get the scoop on all things induction so you can be informed and prepared should it become part of your birth experience (or even just a topic of conversation with your friends or care providers!). We’ll cover the what and why of inductions, including methods and coping techniques, and how to identify your preferences and communicate with care providers along the way. This 2.5 hour workshop is facilitated by local birth practitioners with years of experience supporting families through inductions, and a passion for strong and empowered birth experiences. I always love this exercise in our six week birth prep class: families pair up, and brainstorm ways to provide comfort to someone in labor via their 5 senses. There are some ideas that make a regular appearance (massage, water, mood lighting) and then there are always some brilliant and unexpected ones (Wordle as an early labor distraction got a round of applause!). What worked in your labor? Hope you can read my handwriting! 😻

Love that we are welcoming a new month with a full moon! Feels like a clean slate, and an opportunity for fresh starts to walk through the door ✨🌙🌸✨ Here’s what’s on tap this month at Loving Arms if you are looking for some birth + parenting ed and community! May birth prep classes (Series and Express) are full, we have a couple spots left in June. Movers and Shakers will return in July! As always: Baby Steps postpartum drop in group tomorrow 🥰 Every Friday 10-11:30! Free for Loving Arms alumni, otherwise suggested $10 donation (that we send along to postpartum support international). And stay tuned for some rad offerings for perinatal providers, coming up early summer + late fall!

We are super thrilled to welcome Tali, Loving Arms alum and founder of Kitchen Doula in her previous career, for this wonderful workshop!

Do you feel like, since becoming parents, you and your partner just don’t connect anymore? Do date nights feel too exhausting, expensive, or come with too many expectations? This mini-workshop is designed to help remind you that you and your partner love each other and that there were reasons you chose to do this parenting thing together. We’ll focus on helping you get grounded in your bodies, settle your nervous systems, and reconnect with the closeness you’ve felt before and that you want to cultivate again.
