There is something we rarely talk about

A woman can become so good at surviving that she forgets she was ever supposed to be supported.

She stops asking.

Stops receiving.

Stops trusting.

Stops softening.

Stops expecting anyone to notice what she needs.

And eventually, the survival strategy becomes part of her identity.

“I don’t need anyone.”

“I’ll handle it.”

“I’ve got it.”

“I can’t depend on people.”

But sometimes those statements aren’t confidence.

Sometimes they’re evidence of what happened when dependence became dangerous.

Restoration isn’t about shaming the woman she became.

That woman learned how to survive.

She deserves compassion.

But she also deserves the opportunity to discover who she is when she no longer has to live in survival mode.

Because adaptation may have been necessary.

But adaptation was never meant to become identity.

You can honor the woman who survived without making her responsible for the woman you are becoming.

The Layer We Miss

Most people respond to what they can see.

But a woman is not only what is happening on the surface.

There is a physical layer.
An emotional layer.
A mental layer.
And a spiritual layer.

And sometimes the reason a woman feels misunderstood isn’t because she cannot explain herself.

It’s because the person listening is responding to the wrong layer.

You can give someone physical rest and still leave an emotional wound untouched.

You can talk through the emotions and never address the mental exhaustion underneath them.

You can address the mind and still miss the spiritual battle taking place beneath everything else.

This is why wisdom requires more than having an answer.

It requires discernment.

Before asking, “How do I fix this?”

Ask:

“What layer is actually speaking?”

Because not everything needs correction.

Some things need tending.
Some need truth.
Some need rest.
Some need protection.
And some need restoration.

Learning to see beneath the surface is part of learning to steward what YHWH entrusted to you.

Why Men Say Women Are Complicated

Maybe women aren’t “complicated.”

Maybe they are intricate.

Scripture says:

“It is the glory of YHWH to conceal a matter: but the glory of kings is to search out a matter.”
— Proverbs 25:2

There are things in creation that aren’t meant to be understood at a glance.

They require observation.
Curiosity.
Patience.
Attention.

We don’t look at the human body and say, “This is too complicated. I give up.”

We study it because we recognize its value.

So perhaps the question isn’t, “Why are women so complicated?”

Perhaps the better question is:

“Have I taken the time to understand what YHWH designed?”

What we refuse to understand, we often label as complicated.

But what we are willing to pursue, we discover is intricate.

And sometimes the very thing you call complicated is the thing you were never willing to search out.
