You're eating healthy. So why isn't the scale moving? 😩

The salads are salad-ing.
Water bottle stays attached to your hand.
You're meal prepping.
You bought the Greek yogurt.
You even walked right past the cookies at Publix like the disciplined citizen you've become.

And the scale said:
"Cute."
😂😂😂

Here's what I want you to understand:
Eating nutritious foods and eating in a way that supports weight loss are not necessarily the same thing.

You can eat incredibly nutritious foods and still consume approximately the amount of energy your body needs to maintain its current weight.

Sometimes it's portions.
Sometimes it's liquid calories.
Sometimes it's the handfuls, bites, sauces, dressings and "I was just tasting it" calories.
Sometimes Monday through Friday isn't actually the problem.
👀 Hello, weekend.

And sometimes your body IS changing, but you're relying entirely on the scale to tell you whether you're making progress.

Before you slash your calories or decide your metabolism has packed its belongings and left, look at the entire picture.

I broke down 9 reasons you may be eating healthy but not losing weight in The NutriHub Journal.

172.6 ➡️ 152.7 lbs.

And no, I didn’t give up tacos, tequila, cake, or my social life to get here. 😌 I lost 19.9 pounds while building a physique I’m incredibly proud of, and the process was a lot less complicated than social media likes to make fat loss.

Here’s what I actually did:
🏋🏾‍♀️ Strength trained consistently
• 3 lower-body/leg days per week
• 1–2 upper-body days per week
• No dedicated cardio
🍽️ Stayed in a calorie deficit

I calculated my estimated Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE) and aimed for approximately a 500-calorie-per-day deficit.

And when I say I tracked my calories, I mean EVERYTHING.
The margaritas. 🍹
The tequila shots. 🥃
The tacos. 🌮
The birthday cake. 🎂
The meals out.
The “just one bite.”
ALL OF IT. 😂

Because calories don't suddenly become invisible because it's Saturday. I didn't need to eat “clean” 100% of the time. I understand energy balance, portions, consistency, and how to make the foods I enjoy fit within my overall nutrition goals.

And strength training mattered too. My goal wasn't simply to make the number on the scale smaller. I wanted to lose body fat while maintaining and building muscle, which is why my training has been heavily focused on progressive resistance training.

That's the part people miss: Weight loss and changing your body composition aren't necessarily the same goal.

I wanted the waist smaller.
I wanted the muscle to stay.
And apparently my quads wanted their own ZIP code. 😂

No detox.
No cutting out carbs.
No endless cardio.
No pretending tequila doesn't have calories. 😂
Just a plan I could actually live with, executed consistently over time.

And now for something I haven't done in TWO YEARS...I'M OPENING 3 COACHING SPOTS. 🔥
Only 3.

If you're tired of starting over every Monday and you're ready to learn how to eat, train, enjoy your life, and still make progress, this is for you.
I'm not interested in giving you another temporary diet. I'm going to teach you how to understand your body, your nutrition, and your habits so you can build results you actually know how to maintain.

I’m not working out because I hate my body. I train because I LOVE what my body is capable of. 💪🏾🔥

Fitness isn’t something I’m trying to squeeze into my life.

It’s part of how I live.

I lift heavy. I stretch. I challenge myself. I rest. I come back and do it again.

Not because I’m chasing perfection, but because I genuinely love feeling strong, capable, and confident in my body.

I’m not training to be smaller. I’m training to be stronger. Healthier. More mobile. More powerful.

And if a little extra thigh meat comes with the assignment… well. 😂😌

I’ll take it. 🏋🏾‍♀️

Still avoiding fat because you're trying to lose fat? 👀
We need to clear this one up. Eating dietary fat does not automatically make you gain body fat.

Fat is an essential nutrient your body uses to support hormone production, brain function, healthy cells, energy, and the absorption of vitamins A, D, E, and K.
But here's where people sometimes get tripped up:
Fat contains 9 calories per gram, compared with 4 calories per gram for protein and carbohydrates.

So foods like avocado, nuts, olive oil, seeds, and nut butter can be incredibly nutritious AND calorie-dense.

Both things can be true.
You don't need to fear fat.

You need to understand the type, portion, and how it fits into your overall nutrition. Because "healthy" has never meant "unlimited." That jar of peanut butter has gotten away with enough. 😂

I break down dietary fat, saturated vs. unsaturated fats, portions, weight loss, and more in my latest NutriHub Journal article.

If you eat breakfast at 8:00 and you're ready to chew through your desk by 9:00, we need to inspect the breakfast. 😂

Eating less isn't automatically better.

A meal that leaves you satisfied will typically need more than something tiny with “only 100 calories!” printed on the package.

Think about building meals with:
🥩 Protein
🥦 Fiber-rich foods
🍚 Carbohydrates
🥑 Dietary fat

The exact amount of each will depend on your individual needs, but meal composition matters.
For example, grabbing only a piece of fruit isn't the same meal as pairing that fruit with Greek yogurt, oats and nuts. The goal isn't to make every meal perfect.

It's learning how to build meals that fuel you and actually satisfy you.

Going to the gym consistently is great.

But walking through the door and randomly choosing exercises based on whatever machine happens to be available? That's not a training program.
A structured program removes the daily guesswork.

You know:
✔️ What exercises you're doing
✔️ How many sets and reps
✔️ What you're training
✔️ When you're training
✔️ What you're working toward
You don't need to become your own personal trainer.

I already wrote the workouts.
My prebuilt fitness programs give you the structure. Your job is to show up and do the work. 💪🏾
And there are programs for different goals, equipment and training styles.

Comment FIT and I'll send you the programs.

Barefoot & somewhere beautiful, and living a life younger me would've had a hard time believing. 🌴✨

This birthday wasn't about getting older. It was about looking around at the life I've built, the places I've been, the lessons I've survived, and realizing I still have so much left to see, do, taste, experience... and probably get into a little trouble doing. 😌

Anambas Islands is breathtaking, but the real luxury was being present enough to enjoy every damn second of it.

Chapter 45: happy, grateful, well-traveled, and still entirely too much to handle. ♌️🥂

I can't tell you exactly what the next chapter holds.
But if it looks anything like this one?

Baby, keep the pages turning. ♌️✨
