As summer starts to wind down, take a few minutes to relax and enjoy one of the many fun things happening this weekend. Here are only a few:

1. Porchfest
Main Street, Old Wethersfield

Watch front porches, lawns and driveways transform into live music stages this weekend! Porchest is back in Old Wethersfield!

2. Connecticut Renaissance Faire
Lebanon Country Fairgrounds, Lebanon

In Lebanon, travel back in time to a world of jousters, knights, dungeons, and dragons. Enjoy live shows, stage combat, shopping and more at the Connecticut Renaissance Faire!

3. Pitbull & Lil Jon
Meadows Music Theatre, Hartford

An iconic duo is coming to the capitol city! Catch Pitbull & Lil Jon, who will be performing at the Meadows Music Theatre.

4. Schemitzun
Pequot Cultural Grounds, Mashantucket

Schemitzun, a feast of green corn and grass, returns to Mashantucket! In the heart of one of America's oldest Indigenous reservations — you'll find dance exhibitions, drum and live music and authentic Native American-made crafts!

5. Chester Fair
Kirtland Terrace, Chester

Head over to the quaint community of Chester for the fair! Enjoy rides, pie contests, agriculture, great food and more!

6. Mini Golf in the Stacks
Milford Public Library, Milford

This Saturday — the Milford Public Library won't just be a place to read. You'll have the chance to play mini golf in the stacks! The event will have a raffle and snacks as well!

7. Hot yoga in the game garden
East Rock Brewery, New Haven

Start your Sunday with movement, mindfulness and a well-earned post-flow drink. It's hot yoga in the game garden at East Rock Brewery in New Haven!

8. Block party
Henry Street, New Haven

Also in the Elm City — join in on the fun with a block party and car show! It's all part of NXTHVN art center's closing of their "Glory" exhibit. Enjoy music, food, and kids' activities!

Also, this weekend — it's the Brooklyn Fair! Plus, check out a summer soirée at Van Vleck Farm & Nature Sanctuary in Woodbury.

Two pathology residents began training this July. It’s been decades since UConn has had a residency program for future pathologists.

Our largest resident orientation (215!!) is in the books! Followed by a Tavern in the Square takeover, sponsored by the UConn Foundation! So happy to welcome all of our incoming residents to the UConn family!
