One of our graduate students, Tessa Ngov, recently presented at the Creating Connections to Shining Stars early intervention (EI) conference in Roanoke, VA.

To make the experience even more special, she had the opportunity to present alongside her mom, Erin, who is a local EI speech-language pathologist.

It was another incredible year at Camp Loud and Clear! We were thrilled to reconnect with returning campers and families while welcoming so many new faces to our camp community.

A heartfelt thank you to Holiday Lake 4-H Educational Center, Prince Edward 4-H, and The Bailey Center for Special Needs - Going Beyond Boundaries for making this weekend such a memorable experience. Thank you for putting on Camp Loud and Clear each year!

Finally, thank you to all of our families for your trust, enthusiasm, and continued support year after year. We are grateful to be part of your journey and are already looking forward to next summer!

Our students spent the afternoon sharing their knowledge of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) with a local day support program, specifically highlighting strategies to support meaningful and accessible communication. 🗣️

Longwood was well represented on a recent trip to Arequipa, Peru where the team did some renovation work at New Hope Children’s Home. Kaya Lynch (‘27), Alicia Alvarez (‘23, ‘25), Zoe Dickson (‘24, ‘26), and Lissa Power-deFur (Professor Emeritus) completed over 60 hearing screenings at the Home and at the local community health clinic. ✈️ 🌎
