Kava & tea house in downtown Ferndale, Michigan!

I curate organic herbal teas, ceremonial plant based beverages, tinctures, and offer holistic herbal services.🙏☕️✨️

Everyone wants to know what is happening with Cosmic Roots since the infamous Treat Dreams is retiring their location in Ferndale after many years of serving the community.

All I know right now is that Im making Golden Milk! 🌞😊🫶

Im finding the balance between searching, surrendering, and keeping myself open to the threads of the universe.

As of now, we are here until the end of October and happy to serve you. I promise to keep you updated on the shifts that are occuring for Cosmic Roots!

Hopefully we will see you in the meantime for some warming and relaxing drinks to soothe your transitions too. 🌻🍂💫

CLOSED TODAY FOR A PERSONAL MOVE🙏🍂

Deep exhale as I pick these little sunbursts and watch them take a bath.🌻

For me, home is where my herbs are. I am so blessed to have these beauties growing right outside my front door.

Calendula, like the sun, warms the parts of ourselves that have grown stagnant, cold and depressed.

Calendula moves the lymphatic and circulatory systems while cleansing our bodies.

She tonifies our tissues and has an affinity for our skin, both the inner and outer.

She offers the same spiritual support, moving stuck energy so that we can see things in a new way.

I offer dried calendula flowers for those who are seeking her support.🌻

Hours this weekend;
Friday Closed
Saturday 12-9pm
Sunday 12-8pm

See you tommorow!🦋

Kavalactones are the naturally occurring compounds in kava root responsible for its range of effects—from bright and cerebral to deeply relaxing. 🌿

Because kavalactones are poorly soluble in water and more attracted to fats, traditional kava is prepared by kneading and massaging the ground root in water. This helps release the root’s resins and fine particles, allowing the kavalactones to become suspended throughout the drink rather than fully dissolving.

The result is the cloudy, earthy “mud water” we know as kava. This bubbly layer is a combination of kavalactones, resins, and other fine particles.

The aroma is grounding, pungent and unmistakably of the earth—something I’ve genuinely grown to appreciate.

I’m in experimentation mode these days: learning, observing and continually refining the process.

Bula! ✨️

🫶All of our herbal tea blends are thoughtfully crafted in-house.

🌿Each herb is selected for its energetic properties (cold/warm, wet/dry, tonifying/relaxing). As well as its herbal actions or ability to move and support the function of certain organs and systems.

🪷Formulated to complement your daily wellness rituals, our teas can be enjoyed by the cup at Cosmic Roots or taken home as loose-leaf blends for continued support.

We are open today from 4-9pm! See you soon!🌸

🌝The lunar nodes have moved from the Pisces–Virgo axis into Aquarius and Leo, closing an 18-month chapter.

🐠The North Node in Pisces asked us to open ourselves to a greater sense of the cosmic world—to zoom out and remember the innate connection woven throughout all living things.

It asked us to remember the parts of ourselves, and one another, that are timeless, ageless and formless.

There are so many pathways into this remembrance: dance, yoga, meditation, plant medicine, cooking, singing and creating.

🌾The South Node in Virgo asked us to integrate this expanded perspective into something tangible and embodied—to remember that there is something innately spiritual about caring for our bodies, tending to our daily routines and nurturing the people and places that make up our everyday lives.

We do not need to go anywhere special to experience the sacred.

We simply have to keep remembering that life is infused with it in each and every moment.

💫 How do you remember the sacred within the everyday?

🪷 What rituals have you developed over these past 18 months?

🦋 What needs to take a back seat so that you can create more space for healthier habits?

🌞I genuinely love the creative process.

🌼Throwing something at the wall, seeing how it sticks, and then adjusting.

🦋There is something so satisfying about trying an idea, realizing it is not quite right, and starting again. Every revision, experiment, and change makes the final creation feel that much more meaningful.
