**“Do you do deep tissue?”**
I get this question often, and my honest answer is:
I don’t advertise my work as “deep tissue” because going too deep, too fast, or too broadly can sometimes create more irritation in the tissue than relief.
But yes — I do work with depth.
My goal is not to crush the body into submission. My goal is to listen to the tissue, follow the restrictions, and help the body soften safely.
I can target deeper muscles of the back and shoulders such as the infraspinatus, levator scapulae, subscapularis, rhomboids, and other muscles that often contribute to neck, shoulder, and back discomfort.
When tissue is not ready for heavy pressure, too much force can create guarding, inflammation, tenderness, and more restriction. That’s why I work with depth, but I also work with intention.
At YES Bodywork, I may use:
✨ Warm cups to help lift the tissue, increase circulation, and create space
✨ Focused medical massage for neck, back, shoulders, hips, and glutes
✨ Stretching along nerve pathways to support mobility and reduce tension patterns
✨ Fascial unwinding to help the body release restrictions naturally
Fascia wraps through the whole body. It surrounds muscles, joints, nerves, and organs. It can feel stuck, dry, tight, or restricted — but when it has better glide and movement, the body can often move with less pain.
So instead of asking the body to “take more pressure,” I ask:
Where is the body stuck?
Where is it guarding?
What needs space?
What needs circulation?
What needs support?
YES — my body works.
That’s why I choose YES Bodywork. 🌿
