Here's why trying to overhaul your whole diet at once is a mistake, and why it's probably why nothing has stuck so far.

New week, new plan. Out with the processed stuff, salads and green smoothies, meal prepping every Sunday like clockwork. You're all in.

And I get it. Going big feels like proof you're serious. I used to think the same thing.

But you're not building a lifestyle that way, you're running a sprint your nervous system never signed up for. It's like renovating your entire kitchen in one weekend with no plan and no help. You might pull it off once. But you're exhausted, everything's a mess, and you're in no shape to do it again next week.

The women who actually get their energy back don't overhaul everything overnight. They keep four small plant-forward non-negotiables, decided once on a Sunday, and those four things hold steady even when the week falls apart.

Tired of starting over every few months? Comment "ANCHORS" and I'll send you the priority list link for the Nourished Lifestyle Accelerator.

This is the Half Plate Method. Half the plate is greens or non-starchy veggies, a quarter is protein, and the last quarter is grains or starchy veg.

Once you build meals this way, you stop deciding what to eat every single time, and your energy stops crashing by 3pm because you're actually getting enough protein and fiber at each meal instead of winging it.

Today's lunch was half greens with a simple 3 ingredient oil-free dressing, a 1/4 plate filled with air fried soy curls with hot sauce, and a 1/4 plate air fried potatoes. This came out to 31g protein and 18g fiber, and it took me about ten minutes without having to think through it.

Try it tonight if you want. Whatever greens you have, any plant protein (tofu, beans, lentils, tempeh, soy curls all work), and a grain or starchy veg, just build it in that ratio and see how it feels.

Honestly the plate itself isn't usually where people get stuck. It's making it work with an actual busy week, eating out, a family that's not plant-based, cravings that hit at 8pm. That's the part I help with inside my 8 week program, the Nourished Accelerator. Taking this formula and building it into a life that doesn't fall apart when things get chaotic.

Try the plate tonight and let me know what you build.

I ran into a friend at a party this weekend and she pulled me aside to tell me she's been following the Half Plate Method since we talked a few months back. Half the plate greens, a quarter protein, a quarter grains or starchy veggies. She said she's down ten pounds just from that one shift, plus staying consistent with walking and resistance training instead of leaning so hard on pilates.

Now she's telling everyone it was my advice 😄

Honestly, it was the push I needed. Because I have to be real with you all... I have NOT been eating my greens the way I normally would lately. The recalls on bagged and boxed greens this summer had me pulling way back on what I was buying, even at Costco where I usually grab my big bags of organic greens. I found some from local farms but nowhere near my usual amount.

So here I am, the person who teaches this stuff, quietly letting my own plate method slide. Anyone else do that? You know exactly what works and then life gets a little messy and it just... fades out for a while.

Her win was exactly the reminder I needed.

This week's meal prep consists of what I already have on hand. Bell peppers, potatoes, sweet potatoes, onions, some very ripe bananas headed for the freezer for smoothies. For protein I'm doing a batch of soy curls, maybe seitan if I'm feeling ambitious. If not, tofu and a big batch of lentils and beans. I've been light on beans lately too and want to bring those back.

I'll update you on what I end up making 🌱

Also sitting with an idea: a tool where you type in what's in your fridge and it pulls matching recipes from my Recipe Library. It would be a big build, so not committing yet, but curious if that's actually something you'd use.

What are you prepping this week? And is there a part of your own routine that's quietly slipped that you want to bring back? ❤️

For a long time, cardio felt like the responsible thing to do.

Eat something indulgent, do more cardio. Makes sense, right?

It made sense to me too, until I actually looked at what was happening in my body.

After 40, muscle starts going faster than most of us realize.

And cardio alone doesn't stop that.

The fatigue, the softness, the energy dips, those aren't just age.

This carousel covers what I've learned and what I'm actually doing week to week.

Bone density, blood sugar, functional strength, it's all connected.

No gym required, no hours blocked out.

Swipe through and see if any of it sounds familiar.

Drop STRONG in the comments and I'll send you a free 5 day protein challenge.

Five energy leaks I see all the time, and none of them are personal failures. They're just patterns.

If two or more of these hit home, the Nourished Lifestyle Accelerator is exactly what I'm building for you: stress, sleep, movement, decision fatigue, all of it, designed to work inside your actual life.

Priority list is open now. Link in bio. ❤️

I remember sitting down to watch Forks Over Knives thinking it was going to be a little extreme. I'd watch it, roll my eyes a little, and move on with my life.

I didn't move on.

I read The China Study right after. And something in me shifted that I couldn't undo. The foods I grew up eating, the foods I'd fed my family without a second thought, were creating real inflammation inside the body. Once I understood the why, going back felt like choosing something I no longer believed in.

So in Oct 2017, I went fully plant-based. And yes, the people who had never once asked about my health suddenly had a lot of thoughts about my protein. I say that with love, because I get it now. When you change something fundamental, it makes the people around you look at their own choices. That's uncomfortable. And it comes out as concern.

But I've always been a little different. And the science was too clear to look away from.

Nine years later, my energy is steady, my bloodwork reflects everything I've built, and I've made it my life's work to make this sustainable for real women with real weeks, not just people with empty calendars and unlimited motivation.

That's what the Nourished Lifestyle Accelerator is built on: plant-based eating, the sleep anchors, the movement, the stress reset. The things that hold even when your week falls apart. Waitlist link in bio or comment PRIORITY if you're ready to stop starting over.

"I'm doing everything right. Why am I still losing muscle?"

If that thought has crossed your mind, I want to talk to you about something.

A lot of women who train consistently make the mistake of thinking meat is the only real source of protein, and that without it, your muscles will waste away, especially after 40.

That belief will keep you stuck. And honestly, it kept a lot of my clients stuck too.

What women who are actually building strength know is this: plants can absolutely anchor your protein, when you know which ones to reach for and how to pair them.

That's exactly what the Plant-Powered Plate Method is built around.

No guessing. No starting over every Monday. Just a system that holds.

I'm building something deeper inside the Nourished Lifestyle Accelerator, and the waitlist is open now. Link in bio if you're ready to stop spinning your wheels.
