Getting your shoulder strong again takes more than lifting weights πŸ’ͺ🏻 Here, Nicole at our Middletown office shows a move where one hand stays down to keep the shoulder steady while the other reaches out to move the ball β€” building control and core strength at the same time. It's a big step forward for anyone working their way back after an injury or surgery, and proof that every rep gets you closer to doing what you love again πŸ™Œ

🚴 ProCare hit the road over the weekend! Last Saturday, three of our physical therapists took on the Tour of High Bridge Criterium bike race.

Brian and Eric from our Flemington office and Steve from our Green Brook office all rode in the Novice race. It was a fantastic day of racing with amazing crowd support. πŸ‘

Proud to see our team out in the community, staying active and doing what we love. Way to ride, guys! πŸ’™

Our Whitehouse team brought the fun to therapy this week, and the theme β€” Tacky Tourist β€” did not disappoint. 😎

Recovery is serious work, but a little joy goes a long way, and this is exactly the kind of environment we want to bring to every visit. πŸ’™

Jumping again starts before your feet leave the ground πŸ’ͺ🏻

This machine lets us reintroduce jumping mechanics at a reduced percentage of body weight, so patients can rebuild power, timing, and landing control safely before progressing to full weight plyometrics on the ground!

The gluteus medius is one of the most important muscles you've probably never thought about. It sits on the side of your hip and keeps your pelvis level every time you take a step πŸ’ͺ🏻

Clamshells and side planks are two simple, effective ways to strengthen it and improve stability from the ground up!

Feeling stiff or sore in your mid-back...especially when trying to rotate side to side? πŸ’₯πŸ€•

It could be a lack of thoracic mobility. Try adding a simple rotation stretch (like an open book stretch) to help improve movement and decrease stiffness.

If turning is still uncomfortable or limited, don’t push through it! Come see us and we’ll help you move better and feel better! πŸ’ͺ

Heel and arch pain doesn't always have the same cause 🦢🏼

The posterior tibialis tendon helps support your arch, and when it's irritated, it can cause symptoms that are easy to mistake for plantar fasciitis.

Check out these three exercises we commonly use to help strengthen that tendon and improve foot and ankle function ⭐️

Hip strength plays an important role in balance, stability, and overall movement.

This banded cross-hip exercise is a great way to target the muscles that support your hips and pelvis, helping improve control during everyday activities and exercise πŸ’ͺ🏻
