Hunterdon Cardiovascular Associates

Hunterdon Cardiovascular Associates Hunterdon Cardiovascular Assoc. is dedicated to improving the cardiovascular health of our community.

In 1997 two small cardiology groups in Hunterdon County, NJ merged to form Hunterdon Cardiovascular Associates. Within a few years HCA was able to open a branch office in Whitehouse at the Health and Wellness Center. In order to accommodate a growing practice, this office was subsequently moved to the Clinton Health and Wellness Center in October 2008. This office is open 5 days a week for office

visits as well as for a full array of noninvasive testing. In October 2012 HCA looked eastward and opened an office in Raritan. In June 2016 this one day a week office moved to Bridgewater, NJ on Rt. 22 and is now open 5 days a week for office visits as well as cardiac and vascular testing. Since 1997 HCA has grown from 5 physicians to now include 12 physicians, 7 advanced practice practitioners, and over 80 employees. Our physicians have been responsible for establishing the cardiac catheterization laboratory at Hunterdon Medical Center for cardiac and peripheral catheterizations and interventions, for establishing a cardiac CT program at the hospital, for opening both a specialty Faint and Fall clinic as well as a Heart Failure clinic within the practice, and establishing the Hunterdon Vein Institute, among many other accomplishments. We are proud to have had physicians named Top Doctors by NJ Monthly as well as by NJTopDocs. Our physicians are Board Certified Cardiologists and are Fellows of the American College of Cardiology who have received in-depth training in various sub-specialties. We provide a full range of cardiac services for evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases. Come to us for experienced care in:

Cardiomyopathy is a disease of the heart muscle that makes it harder for your heart to pump blood effectively. When the heart cannot pump efficiently, blood can sometimes pool in the chambers, increasing the risk of clots that may travel to the brain and cause a stroke.

As we observe Stroke Awareness Month, we encourage you to stay proactive. If you have been diagnosed with cardiomyopathy or notice unusual fatigue and shortness of breath, our specialists are here to help manage your condition and lower your stroke risk.

When is the right time to check in on your heart?

While symptoms like chest pain or shortness of breath are clear warning signs, many cardiac issues begin quietly. Dr. Yaser Elnahar discusses why your family history and existing conditions, such as diabetes or high blood pressure, are just as important as how you feel today.

Early detection is our best tool for prevention. Don’t wait for a "major event" to start the conversation.

Schedule your heart evaluation today by calling us at (908) 788-1710 or visit the link below for more information:

Did you know that coronary artery disease (CAD) is a red flag for stroke risk? CAD occurs when plaque builds up in the heart's arteries, but that same buildup can happen in the vessels leading to your brain.

Because CAD develops over time without symptoms, managing "silent" risk factors such as high blood pressure and high cholesterol is essential. Taking action today with advanced diagnostics, such as a calcium score test, is one of the best ways to protect yourself against a future stroke.

Don't wait for a warning sign to take action.
