Big news for our Flint families navigating Alzheimer’s care. The FDA just approved Auvelity, the first non-antipsychotic treatment specifically for the agitation associated with Alzheimer’s dementia.

Agitation—like restlessness or physical aggression—affects up to 76% of patients and is often the hardest part for caregivers. This new option is a "first-in-class" therapy, meaning it works differently than previous medications and doesn’t carry the same heavy boxed warnings common with antipsychotics.
