Therapeutic breast and chest massage- what is it and why do I need it?

✅ More appropriately referred to as “full chest massage”
✅ Targets the chest wall deep to the breast tissue
✅ Supports healthy breathing, stress relief, shoulder and neck treatments
✅ Can provide relief from/during pregnancy/breastfeeding, pre/post cancer treatments, breast reductions, augmentations, surgical scars, chest trauma from injuries, chronic anxiety and PTSD
✅ Very helpful with lymphatic drainage and reducing lymphedema symptoms
✅ Anyone can receive full chest massage, but extra consent forms and screening is required

Congrats to our resident massage therapist, Corey Burgess of Sunrise Healing Arts, LLC, for completing her most recent training. Therapeutic breast and chest massage has many benefits and can help with rib dysfunction, shoulder injuries, pre and post op cancer patients, scar reduction, lymphatic drainage, range of motion, and the list continues! Another wonderful breast and chest massage class in Seattle, August 2026--and a particularly wonderful group for pertinent health histories and scars to share for our learning.

This is the first class I've ever taught where at least a third of students already had some experience of breast massage! We had a class of 14, but some of them escaped before the photo, lol. Special thanks to my friend and TA, WA Board of Massage member Francesca Rath.
