THIS WEDNESDAY August 19th
BODY TRUST - A 10-week somatic movement series for women
Wednesdays, 5:45-7:00 PM ~ Aug. 19-Oct. 21, 2026
Shoals Bodywork, Florence, AL
Led by Kristen Shores, owner of Shoals Somatics and Personal Training
"Body Trust was created for women who are ready to begin building a different relationship with their bodies, one based on curiosity instead of criticism, and listening instead of pushing. Every woman I've ever worked with knows full well how to push through- it's much much harder to slow down though. There are plenty of places that will teach you how to push your body, and there can definitely be a time for that, but this isn't one of them. Over ten weeks we'll use gentle, guided movement and breath work to explore how your nervous system and your body work together. You'll learn to notice your own patterns, experiment with movement in a way that feels supportive, and discover that your body often has a lot to say when we're willing to slow down enough to listen. Zero need here to be flexible, "in shape" or have experience with somatic movement. Sessions are intentionally small so I can meet each woman where she is. There's never an expectation that everyone moves the same way. You'll always have options, permission to modify, and space to move at your own pace. This group can be a good fit for women living with chronic stress, trauma, persistent pain, burnout, or anyone who has spent years feeling disconnected from their body or like they never fit into traditional fitness spaces."

✨Big Update✨

I am officially moving my booking system over to MassageBook to better serve you alongside the incredible team at Shoals Bodywork!

Along with the new system, I have upgraded my service menu for a simple streamlined booking experience. This new menu allows less confusion when booking, freedom to customize your appointment to your liking and free add-ons with the 60 and 90 minute appointments!

You also might notice a brand new Esthetician’s Choice option. I created this appointment type for those who are unsure about what they need for their skin. I’ll make the choice for you, you sit back and relax. Easy peasy! 💆‍♀️

Moving my booking system also means you only need ONE account to book skin care services and massage therapy services, on the same website! Keeping things simple and your appointments all in one dashboard.

The new booking link is ready to go at the top of my page, or search Shoals Bodywork on google and click on the Skin Care Services category on the website!

Happy Mother's Day from Shoals Bodywork and Associates! 🩷

05/08/2026

Don't forget to enter the East + West Wellness Mother's Day giveaway! 💌

There is a sacred wisdom that says the mother is the first home we ever know… the heartbeat that teaches us rhythm, the breath that teaches us safety, the presence that teaches us love.

In Ayurveda, the mother is deeply honored as a source of life, nourishment, and emotional grounding. When she is cared for, everything around her flourishes. When she is depleted, the whole system feels it. This is why tending to the mother—body, mind, and spirit—is not a luxury… it is essential.

✨ This Mother’s Day, East + West Wellness wants to pour back into YOU. ✨

We are gifting one beautiful soul:
- A personalized Ayurvedic Lifestyle Consultation + a follow up appointment ($201 value)

A chance to slow down… to be held… to be nourished in the way you so freely give to others.

To enter:
1. Share this post
2. Tag 3 women you love (mothers or mothering souls)

Let this be a reminder: you are worthy of the same care, softness, and devotion you offer every day.

Winner will be announced on Mother’s Day

With love,
East + West Wellness
